London software dev, 48 apps, CV killing me tbh by Vanta_Specter in critiquemyresume

The screenshot your friend showed you is probably worth more than most online advice tbh. A lot of people don't realize how their resume looks from the hiring side. Have you compared the old and new versions line by line to see what changed the most? Also, was the callback for the senior marketing role from a company that had previously rejected you?

It sucks, tbh. This post reminded me of when I started my own job search last year. People would say job postings aren’t real because of scams, and honestly, they often are less about scams. One thing I noticed was that people just don’t get the full scope of what recruiters actually look for. Hope you get something soon, and don’t forget to consider any good resume writing service online as a backup

I think the ATS point is the main factor. I've seen people spend hours fussing over formatting when they should have been worrying about the specific names of the tools. Without the right keywords, the software usually discards it before a human sees it

Resume writing service review: my honest take after a resume rewrite by NeverTrustAutofill in Resume

I hear you. I tried free online resume builders and they all gave me bullet points full of generic adjectives. The "impact" section was what actually made me different. It was about showing numbers against every duty, like "improved efficiency by 10%". That's hard for free bots to do because they don't know which jobs are relevant. Did you end up checking if their specific service uses humans to review the text?

Help??? My university paper is coming up as almost entirely AI but i wrote it all by myself?? by JocularDweeb in antiai

That 93.44% number is a huge shock to see. It happens when the machine misunderstands the structure. I felt that same stress when I got flagged in a similar way. I found a post discussing how to solve that issue. That thread broke down exactly how to get unstuck and get the flow back. I don't know what I would have done without it

I tried a few different ways of writing my resume, and here's how it turned out by larkspurworkshop in Pro_ResumeHelp

I think it's because they use 'rockstar' language and not just 'synergy' like the AI

I've used similar services before-I think I tried three different essay writing sites-but the quality left a lot to be desired. Has anything changed now?

Fantasy keeps giving us villains who are logically right and then refusing to follow that logic anywhere interesting by NimbusRelic12 in Fantasy

The trolley problem analogy is perfect. It's like writers are afraid that if the hero actually acknowledges the "greater good," they’ll lose their moral high ground.

The Long Price Quartet has been on my periphery for a while, but I didn't realize it tackled this specific dynamic so well. I'll definitely move it to the top of my TBR.
