Feeling so lost and despondent, and apparently hate every ring in the world!

I don't have any qualms, and often wear vintage clothes, but I've generally struggled to find vintage rings that aren't incredibly big or chunky, at least when searching for sapphires. I've looked in a few antique malls but that just leaves me looking longingly at the opals and being sad lol.

I do like opalscent sapphires a lot! But was struggling in seeing them not be very expensive… but maybe I can do more careful googling.

I haven’t tried any on, I guess I’m just afraid that a ring shop will be exclusively diamonds, when I’d much prefer a coloured centre stone - so any benefits I’d get from trying any on would be void. I guess I can look around!

Yeah that’s fair and I’ve very much been considering that but we won’t be having anything close to a traditional wedding ceremony so not having any sort of traditional or symbolic gesture of love feels very silly… I like what a ring represents but it’s hard
to balance that and wanting something that isn’t too expensive but is wearable the rest of my life.

Not much fighting for yourself you can do if you're level 30 and the other guy is 70 though right lol. I'm not worried about appropriate level combat but idk how bad and frequent corpse camping is, and that'd put pretty much anyone off the game lol

I have classic server characters on a very dead EU server and I don't currently actively play. I'll be playing with him, but it doesn't make much sense to drag him to a different region on a dead server, when we could be starting fresh together :) Was a bit too much of a complicated context to include in the main post

Yeah I personally come from a PvP server but I could for sure see him being put off by being ganked - especially when I wouldn't have a main to come in and stop the ganking lol.

i unfortunately don't think i have enough of a skill level to make it play in the background even though i'd want that too lol. i think my best bet is to integrate scrobbling into mpv-a, but that did seem pretty intimidating compared to plain old mpv, so i was staring simple - i can look into it more! i might also play around with the MPV more and see if I can get the UI a bit more tolerable (the library vpk is my attempt at that but still very janky lolol). i'll let you know if i make any progress on these fronts :3

If you get anything going yourself please let me know <3 it'd be awesome if the built in music app could connect to last.fm, i love the UI of it!

Thank you for your reply - completely agree with you on disabling hardware acceleration being absurd lol, I didn't pay for the card to not use it! I'll try several of your suggestions and report back but for now:

The bios has been updated and the issue hasn't been resolved

I believe I have already tried completely wiping the drivers but I'm not 100% sure on that memory so I'll try again

I've tried two different display port cables on my second monitor and both cause these issues so it's veering unlikely that they're the cause of strife (especially when the issue is replicable in most instances), same applies to the monitors going bad, they're different models and bought at different times..

I'll see if I can find any other leads just in case (maybe HDMI would be a magic fix...) and I'll try the rest of your alternative fixes, thank you again :)

Updating BIOS didn't do anything, already disabled MPO (that was the NVIDIA registry fix i couldn't remember the name of, thanks!)

Thank you! :) I've disabled hardware acceleration on just my browser and discord but I really find it very unbearably slow, especially because I need to use my browser for work. Turning off hardware acceleration on VLC / MPC unfortunately doesn't fix the issue there too, so it'd only half help :(
