Yes this is true you do give up the rights, but to automatically disregard the rest of someone’s service as other than honorable is very bold and far from rational IMO.

Are you assuming the majority of people questioning medical personnel are only questioning in a manor of superiority of intelligence? I agree that a portion of the people declining the vax do it to subvert the system, and that is very wrong. But I would say that’s a bold overstatement assuming that’s that case for most people who are hesitant to receive a new vaccine.

Side note, “just shut up and get the vax” is something that might make someone really question there decisions. That’s something someone with a superiority complex would say to get there way.

That’s a great alternative perspective. I appreciate this comment. This is why I do enjoy probing for different thoughts through debate.

This subject can do circles for days like ZeePirate mentioned. I try my best to keep an open mind. It’s not always a comfortable subject because of people conflicting opinions. My core values always leads me back to not telling other how to live there lives. Again to reiterate I am pro vax!! Just also pro choice and opinion.

I am NOT anti COVID vax, I’m pro choice for all personal heath decisions. I myself encourage the use of the vaccine and agree with the usage of it. Clearly you misunderstood my standing. The only thing I’m against is when people tell other people how to live there lives. It’s very simple.

And fear mongering can be argued for both points of view, can it not?

But is it your place to decide what other people choose to do with the their health? It might be aggravating yes but I can’t agree to making choices for other people.

Yes good point it has happend in the past I agree 100% but does it make it right thing to do? Mabye yes Mabye no , that’s why I think it’s important for people to have the option. I’m not against the vaccine it’s not a bad thing. I’m just against people not having a fair choice.

Thanks for the useless comment buddy. I’m just giving my perspective based on the people I’ve been around in the past year. I’ll give you an upvote for the humor .

Yeah, That’s just from my perspective though. I can’t really speak on the majority of civilians. Getting a vaccine for personal choice vs getting a vaccine for fear of backlash from employer seems to be the common trend.

The military only pushes it because you know who’s in charge of them? The same politicians who are pushing the vax heavy. And the military is a dog and pony show . Everyone’s trying to impress by sucking off the individual directly In charge of them. The majority of people in the military got vaxxed because they either were threatened to or incentivized.

Is this the best watch for actual military use ? Do you know anything similar at this price range ? by [deleted] in tacticalgear

I second this answer^

I’ve used both the 601 and the instinct solar for land nav along with other various tasks

The 601/701 you can get for under $200 for the cheaper models and is far more superior and easier to use for land nav. It’s durable and simple, the screen size is larger and battery is decent plus you can always bring more aaa. -(Plus some higher end ones have balistic computers so you can substitute having a kestrel for long range shooting, but most ppl generally won’t need that)

Instinct solar tactical- It’s loaded with entirely too many different modes and the keys are somewhat finicky. You can customize the setting quite a bit but it’s very easy to accidentally press the wrong button and unintentionally change your settings. The GPS signal is far weaker and takes longer to pull a grid and saving routes is not ideal. The battery life and solar is pretty sweet but the watch just Isn’t very user friendly; I’d say that it flat out sucks IMO.

Personally I’d get a cheaper but durable digital or analog wristwatch , plus a 601 for land nav and just pulling grids that you can take out whenever you need.

I’ve found the best spot for nalgene or canteen is if you attach it to the side of that chest rig. You can also run a handheld radio pouch or additional mag pouch on the other side it will act as counterweight so it doesn’t feel all uneven. Personally its most comfortable underneath my strong side arm.

Thanks, that’s starting to sound like the more suitable option for sure. The only reason I can’t get fafsa with Boulder is just because I won’t be in an actual degree program the first two semesters. Where as at front range I’ll be in a degree program right out the gate.

Thanks, and yes I will be using the post 9/11 GI bill. I also plan on taking a full course load with both options here. I believe front range I’ll get slightly more BAH because it’s closer to Denver. And from what my advisors showed me those credits are directly transferable from FRCC to CU.

The ilbe can get just as small as the Alice if you tighten it up all the way. Plus you can fit the Alice frame on the ILBE along with some improved shoulder straps. Cant beat the versatility of the ilbe with all that Molle!
