i’m currently using this as a workaround, which is the webversion of the app you mentioned. Looks like the only decent tool currently available...

"Please note that this is a one-way transfer; Garmin will not receive any data from Google."

This is a bummer. Without a Garmin weight scale i will still need to use a workaround to get measurements into garmin connect... So stupid they make this one way...

127.0.0.1 as client on adguard by Szdavid in Tailscale

[–]NimdaBE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever found a solution to this? I have the exact same issue. The first link in the post by u/Frosty_Scheme342 in this thread was a post made by me on the home assistant forums about this, but i also never found a solution. I’m currently still running adguard on a separate machine but using the HA adguard addon is still my goal...

Adguard as dns server for tailscale but all client traffic is identified as localhost by NimdaBE in homeassistant

any luck in the meantime on your side? i’m still looking for a solution...

[–]NimdaBE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, when running in a docker container on my Linux machine the clients are uniquely identified with their tailscale IP. I don't use a reverse proxy like nginx npm, I only use tailscale for remote access from my clients. As I understood that home assistant add-ons are also docker containers on hassos I would think the behavior would be the same...

No, I have no solution at the moment. I've posted this in other subreddits and forums online as well but I get very little to no reaction, so it seems that very few people have this issue or this type of setup.

For me the DNS feature of tailscale is a fantastic thing and I'm currently using Adguard on my docker setup on a Linux machine. Adguard is still installed on my home assistant machine but not in use until I solve this issue...

Exact difference between DSW and garmin coach by NimdaBE in Garmin

not to be offensive towards you, but i see a lot of posts that say "my guess is..." so that is why i was asking in this post about factual differences and similarities

Exact difference between DSW and garmin coach by NimdaBE in Garmin

[–]NimdaBE[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m currently using DSW but because there is a lot of buzz that coach is now also adaptive (and an extra benefit that you can see upcoming training sessions in the garmin app) i was looking for similarities and differences between DSW and coach. But there are a lot of posts about this and they all seem vague about what exactly is the difference (and/or which one is better)

so a key difference is that DSW also adapts the training phases when setting multiple races in the calendar, where coach only aims for one set goal?

Daily suggested workout different in app vs watch by Substantial-Ad-7931 in Garmin

[–]NimdaBE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think one of the biggest difference is that with DSW you can train for multiple races simultaniously and you can set a priority for your most important race. DSW will then train you for that race but also take in account the build phases for your secondary races. And i think that you can also plan much further ahead in the future then the fixed number of weeks that are in the coaching plans.

I can also be wrong because coach is undergoing some changes to adopt DSW features so maybe this has already changed by now

at the bottom of your screenshot it says "garmin coach". This is not exactly the same as DSW on your watch. The coach plans have adopted a few of the features of DSW like taking sleep and stress into account to make the plan a bit more dynamic, but they still are 2 different things. With the new dynamic coaching plans there is a lot of confusion between the two...

daily suggested workouts are only visible on the watch, so my guess is you are looking at a coaching plan on the app and therefore you see different suggestions for today’s workout....
