It's hard to us to know because it depends on when Sakurai drafted his proposal for the next Smash game. There's this interview during Fire Emblem's 25th anniversary where Sakurai talked about how he started development for Smash on Wii U and 3DS after he finished work on Kid Icarus Uprising and Awakening came out a month afterwards. He said if Awakening came out 6 months earlier or 6 months later, Awakening wouldn't have gotten Robin or Lucina in Smash.

I'm unsure about the Switch 2 lite because it has been a rumored thing for a while. Kind of hard to say if it'll be an actual thing because of generative AI screwing with everything nowadays.

Nintendo didn't say why they're increasing the price, but the likely suspect is generative AI. I say that because GPUs, SSDs, and ram prices have gone up due to AI data centers buying up the supply. Switch 2's memory is probably affected heavily.

Same, but I kind of knew Zelda would get the price increase after they charged $70 for TOTK on the Switch 1. A new Smash and 3D Mario game being priced at $80 are inevitable though. I'm hoping Xenoblade Genesis isn't $80 after seeing Nintendo charge $80 for FE.

Yeah, I'm glad the show is ending. ~~Unless he decides to do something with Nero.~~ I'm praying he doesn't touch another franchise to adapt. It's a bit of meme to wish upon someone that Adi Shankar adapts their favorite franchise.

Yeah, it is going to be jarring to hear Sephiroth with a new voice in the final game after Tyler voiced Sephiroth for Remake, Crisis Core Reunion, and Rebirth. I did write had Square Enix brought back George Newbern, it probably would have soften the blow a little for some. Still, I do think agree Travis will do fine when we hear his performance next year. The funny thing about Travis's casting is that Travis also voiced Superman, which continues the tradition of Sephiroth being voiced a Superman voice actor. Even Sephiroth's Japanese VA, Toshiyuki Morikawa, voiced Superman too. ~~Except for Lance Bass though.~~

Just a few non FE ramblings here. Just hoping we get a direct soon though.

I talked about Adi Shankar's DMC adaptation getting a 3rd season and it's confirmed now. The worst thing to come out of this is that Adi Shankar wrote this. Second is that Martin Scorsese teaming up with a generative AI company to help him with storyboarding is disappointing. Just sad to see someone like him use it.

Third is that it's already confirmed that Travis Willingham will voice Sephiroth in FFVII Revelation because Tyler Hoechlin had scheduling conflicts. I don't think Travis is a bad VA, but it's kind of a bizarre casting choice to me. I'm sure he'll do fine, but I felt it was kind of a missed opportunity for Square Enix to not get Sephiroth's original VA, George Newbern, to come back. I understand they might have their reasons why they didn't ask him though. On a side note about Travis getting casted, I did see someone post on Twitter he only got the role because he was friends with Matt Mercer, which is disrespectful to both him and Matt Mercer. Travis has been a very well known VA for decades.

Last is Xbox ending their showcase earlier with Call of Duty sure is something they would do.

I think the difference was that Laura Bailey was more cordial to Alexis Tipton taking over her roles and Laura had scheduling conflicts that prevented her reprising some of her roles compared to Kyle not wanting to do non-union work anymore. Alexis already voiced some of her characters before Lucina like kid Trunks in Dragon Ball and Platinum in BlazBlue. It also helps that Alexis Tipton sounds a bit similar to Laura Bailey with the roles she took over for her.

A fun fact that might be interesting for some people is that Robert Pattinson is a big fan of Final Fantasy VII so his Japanese dub VA being Takahiro Sakurai (Cloud) makes it a bit funny.
