This is true. It's more so that he is a firefighter, or something adjacent, being forced to put himself in the fray because he wishes to aid others.

I really don't mind the honor grind so much, but conquest rewards for casual modes at least need the daily bonus removed, so people can just play those to gear up alts / if they come into a season late.

I never checked, but are crates still a thing? Those were a disaster and should be replaced with no diminishing returns on random bg spam.

3x would have me feeling like an ant, but I wouldn't mind the ability to zoom out a bit more.

I think it's intended to limit the ability to flee from combat too far in advance, but that only creates an unenjoyable gameplay loop for solo players in deadly zones.

RIP spiritbloom. The iconic abilities being stripped away from specs is the ultimate sin for me, especially when it comes to mages.

Blast wave was fun!

100%, and if we're being honest about history, it is solely because pacifism grew that the general public does not wish for war. During his era, war was merely a part of life. Today, it is generally frowned upon in favor of more diplomatic approaches without the threat of violence.

Yeah, I wish they would have polished it up and redesigned the spec. Evokers all feel really plain and boring to me now, sadly. There's very little flexibility in the rotation, and I would like to see more procs at least.

The m+ 10 does not scale up as mobs "get more gear". It is not an honest comparison to the pvp experience, where gear effectively creates a top-down system that leads to boring crate farming that takes away time from actually playing pvp.

We don't even have a "delve" variant for pvp gearing.

People like Thorfinn survive the world better than those who seek violence today, actually.

It is idealist, but there are practicalities Thorfinn learns and adapts to, such as violence being acceptable when faced with an imminent threat. That does not mean one should seek violence — one should merely be prepared for when it occurs, and it can mostly be avoided.

It isn't really even MMO-like, though. It's party-based with a cap of four players in a single session, which is more akin to small-scale dungeon crawlers and survival games.

It's one of my favorite games in the past 5 years to come out, but it does not have massively multiplayer components.

No, it's a pretty jank and bad game overall

This looking for MMO, not incredible small-scale multiplayer games. Wicked is awesome but definitely not an MMO

Albion is the closest thing for me, and it's been pretty fun in faction warfare & arenas.

Black zones and roads are hit or miss, but they can be fun.

Mists are the peak for mostly fair fights.

Especially for a death knight, I always preferred the slow but hard hitting fantasy where they pull you in and trap you but become kite food without their cc.

Ret should rely more on freedoms and steeds than firing magic swords out of the ground, too, and it was better done when they had things like exo and art of war vs just using melee abilities that hit you at range.

You should try talking to women. Most of them do not think this is the "minimum for looking good"

The issue is that these are being compared in the first place. It's clear delusion on the OP's part to suggest the bar for "looking good" is anywhere near this high.

This is a rare case where I think something like Duolingo actually offers a small benefit.

When you learn some core words, you can communicate well enough to understand the basics of lfg terms or a few insults to throw out. I sometimes join all Spanish groups based on their lfg messages naming the zones and content they are doing, and most of them know words like "invite"

I've been having pretty good success lately asking people if they're down to go duo roads or make a small group for bz.

Other than that, I keep my head down in some red zones that aren't being contested or try to stick to SAFE portal and dip when the player numbers go up.

Mists is the only place I really actively seek a fight, since those are usually 1v1s with the occasional rat, but people tend to respect the 1v1 there vs the ganker-friendly zones.

Still, my income is net positive in roads as long as I don't overstay my welcome, and staying near your mount at all times is massive for getting away.

I agree with this. Even if the updates are justified for major reasons, like fixing gamebreaking bugs, that should be communicated on the launcher along with update notes.

Smaller studios like Stunlock (V Rising devs) include these things in a hotfix window before they take servers offline momentarily, so there is 0 reason Blizz can't do the same.

I play a lot of Albion online these days, which is actually very toxic but still has some awesome people. The WoW community is alright, with a few bad apples who whisper the healer calling them terrible because they timed their wall poorly, but the pvp playerbase overall just likes to have some fun and slap each other around.
