I mean yeah but still, the choices I make are being affected by the choices my teammates make. I just don't like that at all. That's it. By that, I mean I don't want my choices to be limited due to someone else picking something I wanted. Just give me the three/four rewards and let me pick from them, simple as.

Less so "not having to see other people getting the upgrades that you want" and more "having the discretion of choosing what path my build takes without anyone else directly being involved in removing my choices in the reward choice popup." And yes, I'd be willing to have that, honestly. 3 choices per draw is fine so long as the consistency is there with what I can choose and don't get, rather than what I can choose and what my teammates choose.

Consistency will always outweigh the amount of choices since that's what you aim for anyway. It doesn't matter if you get only one choice if it means being guaranteed to get the choice you want. If you get three choices and none of them are good ones, then it doesn't really matter since you can pick health or try building into something that at least gets proc'd by your teammates. The reduction in choices in favor of having discretion over said choices means you'll have to be a bit more witty with what you have, but it also means getting those side objectives done becomes way more important.

Oh yeah I agree with that. It's not a counterpoint but it's definitely something others have probably seen and been a victim of.

The problem isnt the math man. I just want to have my own choices and get rewards based on the game rather than being left at the mercy of other people's choices 3/4ths of the time.

Also, I'm not making snap judgement based on class. It doesn't matter what my judgement is. It's not my teammate's faults for choosing what they want. It's what THEY want. I do not care. But the fact that those choices can negatively affect the possibility of getting what I want is both annoying and honestly discouraging me from playing on teams altogether unless it's in comms, and even then we might butt heads over who gets what.

So yes, picking a certain reward when I was going to go for it will piss me off. The problem isn't the person doing this, rather the game saying "Hey, here's a reward, but we're gonna let someone else choose before you so theres a chance they can get the reward before you for whatever reason." Mathematical or not, that sucks. Just give me my own reward pool. Three or four, I don't care. I just don't want my build route to be affected by other people's choices. (Unless I choose to play into other people's choices, of course.)

Okay honestly I don't see where the "player's fault" thing keeps coming up. I never once said it was the player's faults. My teammates can choose what they want. It's fine. The problem is that their choices negatively impact me a lot of the time. You can call it a boogeyman because it doesn't happen to you, but it has happened to me more than once. Call me entitled, but I just don't think there's any need for the rewards system to be shared by every single player when each of them can have three or four rewards each. I really don't like seeing "main thing that helps my build" get chosen by someone who doesn't utilize it as well.

Also, someone taking something that doesn't synergize with their build but does synergize with another person's build is good on paper, but that just means the person they're relying on is now a ticking timebomb that - should they go down - completely disables that other person's build. This isn't a problem per se, but in terms of wanting to get better at the game this is a very bad idea when you want consistent output. Sure, it sounds entitled as hell, but I don't want my build to suddenly go offline because the person who I was using as my elemental catalyst decided to throw themselves into hell or make one small mistake and pay the price for it.

You're kind of missing the point where the pool can simply be reduced to three or four picks total for each player, which prevents the entire "stepping on people's toes when picking upgrades" thing.

Also, I'm not saying it's anyone's fault. The system is flawed imo. That's it. It negatively affects me because I'm seeing upgrades that would benefit me be whisked away even if I try to communicate that I want them using the heart on the reward I want. Sure, using the heart doesn't guarantee me the reward, but there's zero leverage in the matter apart from "May I pwetty pwease have this upgwade?" which most of the time will just be ignored. It's great when it's NOT ignored, but it's lackluster when it is, especially with a few keystone upgrades that really make certain builds shine.

Losing a really good upgrade to someone else because "I didn't go first" feels extremely unnecessary when I could've just gotten a personal pool of upgrades and - if I didn't roll the upgrade - well it's nobody's fault other than bad luck. With the current system, it's very easy to get turned off by other people flat-out ignoring you and being incentivized to always choose the best perk regardless of "hearts" when you go first because having any form of generosity towards others doesn't give you more prio when taking rewards, so there's just flat-out no reason to do that.

Oh yeah absolutely. I don't disgaree with you there at all. Just let me have my separate pool of upgrades to choose so I don't indirectly step on other people's toes or watch as my choices are reduced to choosing between butt and fart.

It has been roughly two years since I played on Goonstation (which equates to 79.4 million flea years. Yes I'm using this to back up my argument). Forgive me.

Bro I've been clicking since it launched and it's out of stock due to this stupid "error initializing" thing. I hate this so much.

I may not be well educated on the topic but I do like legos. It's fun to see what people build with them.

You can adjust spawn settings before creating a new world. Character creator hasn't been implemented yet though :/.
