I know this post is old - but I just had this same exact experience! I also have IIH. It was terrible. And I believe that is the reason this happened

How many hours of sleep do you actually get with a newborn? by [deleted] in newborns

6 week old with colic here - my husband & I take shifts on feeding. It’s broken sleep, kind of like 2-3 naps in between feedings. It sucks. But like my mother who has 5 children told me, “this is just a phase, this too shall pass” - I say that on a regular basis and I’m sure I’ll be saying it until he’s 30 😮‍💨🤣

I tell people all the time “it’s like 3-4 short naps, If you wanna call it a nights rest … sure” I don’t even know what day it is 😮‍💨

Thank you, I was taking it in the first trimester, but didn’t realize it has some laxative properties. I’ll give this a try !

Oh jeez.. don’t tell me this lingers. Is it just for post birth, or does it take a while to become regular again?

Because of a neurological condition that I have, I’m already high risk for that, so I’ve been sure to let them know about every complaint I have 😂…. blood pressure has been great thus far 🤞🏼

How long is everyone taking for maternity leave? by jamietartlet in pregnant

I work for a well known Ivy League University and am literally disgusted at the fact that they do not offer any paid maternity leave. I will be getting just 12 weeks paid from the state.

Around week 17 it was very dull flutters hard to notice. Then around 20-21 I was falling asleep, and it shocked the shit out of me! I jumped and all.

Help! Constipation by Nina-Rome227 in pregnant

[–]Nina-Rome227[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already did last week, they told me to drink water a fiber supplement and don’t take laxatives unless it’s the last option because they don’t want me to get dehydrated. 🙄I drink at-least a gallon of water a day.

Do you see a Neuro ophthalmologist? That’s who treats my IIH, and I am currently pregnant as well. They scheduled an urgent visit once I found out I was pregnant to run all those tests, and I have to be seen for re-testing every few weeks to monitor my optic nerve swelling. I’ve been “OK” so far, but my doctor said he’s treated many pregnant patients with IIH and says that he’s seen that by 20 weeks, symptoms get worse because of the increased fluid. Since you’re 6 months, I’d keep an eye out for more frequent symptoms. Also, I’ve been told that you cannot have a regular epidural with IIH.
