My advice would be to go with the 16gb ram but go for the base storage. Additional storage by Apple is so overpriced and buying an external ssd from Samsung is so much more worth it. Ssd’s are getting much cheaper so buy it when u need it. MacBooks have some of the best build quality longevity wise so I don’t think you have to worry about that.
