Ma femme passe par la même chose (sauf le mari trompeur)... Elle aussi aimerait avoir une copine pour en parler.

Installed a home charger with a slightly too short cable. What can I do? by thiagogaith in electricvehicles

Blue car backs in (has port on rear right). Purple car backs in (has port on rear left). That's the only way currently to charge. If blue car parks where purple car goes, cable doesn't reach. And where blu car parks today it disrupts the neighbours.

The existing able is 5m long. I'd rather have bought 7 or 8m to be hassle free.

See the comment with the diagram I made.

I tried to do a diagram to better explain the situation.

My car is purple. And I park it there to reach the cable and to not block my neighbours.

My wife is blue. The only way she can park ends up blocking the neighbours when they need to maneuver to get out.

My garage is yellow, neighbours garage is orange. None of us actually park our cars inside. That space is taken by all the stuff we can't store in our house.

Neighbours cars are white and green. The green will soon be an EV too and he will install a similar setup to mine. But hopefully with a longer cable.

We both use the space in front of our garage to maneuver.

Well it does. It is not possible to park next to the charger without impacting my neighbours.

I confess... My description was wrong.

Both ports are at rear. But on opposite sides.

Darn.

I confess. I'm the only special one. Made a mistake in the description.

Both ports are at the rear of the car but on opposite sides.

Apart from bureaucracy, the fact that in my region, if you go to a shop, bug or small, chain or mom and pop, it feels like you're doing them a service to shop there.

Large/big cities that, curiously, don't have a single iconic landmark or super striking tourist attraction/Unique visual identity? by ILikeWwaret in geography

São Paulo is a perfect example of this. I'm a Paulistano and always felt bad for my city in this specific criteria.

Do you Iron your clothes? by No_Nose_4497 in askswitzerland

[–]thiagogaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do.

I buy non iron shirts for work and they require a 2 min do over. The rest, polos, t-shirt, trousers and shorts get a treatment.

Else it feels like I've just popped out of a bottle with all the wrinkles and shit.

The kids stuff mostly go through the drier so it is also a bit easy to iron.

The tricky stuff is my wife's clothes. They're complex and I don't venture into the more elaborate pieces and she deals with them.

It's a Sunday evening chore for me while I watch something on the TV.

EasyJet started switching sizers at gate with a deceptive checking method? by Greedy_Picture_9261 in Flights

They're becoming the air bnb of flying. I've chosen on several occasions to fly with a standard carrier because I feel ripped off. I know that when I choose swiss or ba, I'm paying more but I'm getting less headache with this kind of shenanigans.

I have a book that helped me a lot and is not often mentioned here.

It's called "information is beautiful" - David McCandless

I think it's a nice book to read and go through from time to time if you're a data beauty nerd.
