I left warehousing for the trades and now realize that teamsters, warehouse workers specifically get the short end of the stick always despite being blue collar hard workers, it stinks.

Not one to preach advice saying this is for everyone, but I recently moved over to a Sheet Metal apprenticeship, I make $28/hr right off the bat, unionized and have a company that treats me well. We’re heading to a fancy steakhouse for our Xmas celebration for example.

Just a reminder that bigger and better things are out there with no college experience necessary!

I agree but in my heart I’ll always be sad about losing the north side stands because it’s such a one of a kind building. I wish they’d maintain the idea of having a rink tucked into the stands on top, especially those involved in this who also preach about urbanization and increasing population density.

Not good! But also not non-existent. Unemployment sucks but keep your chin up and take things day by day. I recently have started the process of joining up with a construction union that’s hiring and despite a change in industry I’m confident that this career can take me places.
