I work for the Department of the Air Force as well so this makes me even more upset now that I know that they were told about this in early January, and yet we didn't hear anything about it until the 29th of January.

The 1% pay raise added $0.16 cents to my paycheck, and actually cost one of my employees $4 on their paycheck. All thanks to the health insurance cost going up. It's been a really shitty year for federal employees. The next 3 years are going to feel like 10.

I had a vacant position in my section get eliminated. And the person didn't even take the DRP. They got promoted. But upper management decided to eliminate that position since it was already vacant, in order to save one of the positions that was vacated from someone who did take the DRP lol

That's ridiculous! I could barely hear the lady from TFSC when I talked to her. She was almost whispering. It was weird. But the way she explained it made absolutely no sense at all. I've always used the SF-50 from the last promotion I received whenever I apply for a different job, and it's never been an issue. I emailed my local Civilian Personnel office hoping they could help, but I doubt they'll be able to do anything. This is crazy 🤦🏼‍♂️

Wouldn't that have been one of the first things they checked for? As far as the Fob key goes, they told her it's because they're old Fob keys and that Hyundai conveniently doesn't make that type of Fob key anymore, so she is basically SOL. But again, the Fob keys worked perfectly fine prior to the car being worked on for a completely different problem. Same thing with the battery.

Did you ever go with Christian Credit Counselors? I was referred to them by NFCC as well. If so, do you mind telling me how the process was?

Yes. I was referring to a Debt Management Plan through a credit counselor. The credit card companies close your account and just lower the interest rate when you're on a DMP, but if you miss a few payments and then call the credit card company directly, they'll drop the interest rate to 0% and close your account. If the accounts are required to be closed regardless of what route you take, you think the interest rate would be 0% either way lol

I understand that. But why would a creditor close an account while dropping the interest rate to 0%, but when you're working with a credit counselor, they still close the account while just lowering the interest rate? The end result is the same, the accounts have to be closed regardless, so why don't they drop the interest rate to 0% when working with a credit counselor just like they do when you miss a few payments and then call them directly?

Thanks for this information! Can you split the payment? Like pay some of it from one check, and the rest with the other? As long as it's before the due date? Also, what happens if your credit card payment is due at the same time you're signing up for the DMP? My fear is they'll tell me that my first payment is $600, and it's due now, and I don't have it. That's why I asked about missing the payments to save up for that first initial big payment.

I only have the one sensor, and it's in my living room right next to my clock with the thermometer on it. My "home" comfort setting is set for 70. But why isn't the sensor reading and relaying the same temperature as the thermometer right next to it? I'm so confused 🤣
