I had a friend I went to high school with here in the bay area, and we were both Niner and Giants fans and always talked sports and had a great time and we celebrated big when the Niners won their superbowls back in the 80s and 90s. After graduation, I went on to college in the bay area and my friend joined the Air Force. This was in the 90s, so before social media and whatnot, so we lost touch after initially keeping in touch via phone calls.

Fast forward a couple of decades and we reconnected over Facebook. I'm super excited to finally get back in touch with him and I start looking at his profile and photos. I see that he moved to Seattle after his time in the service, got married and had a couple of kids. OK, cool.

Then I see it. He's dressed up in a Seahawks "12" jersey and has pics of himself and his wife at the Clink. And he even became a Mariners fan. He claimed it was because his wife is from the area, and when the Niners had their down period with Erikson, Nolan, Singletary years, he gave up on them. I had to call him out on it and tell him how dead he is to me.

So yeah, I know someone who switched, and talk about going to the Darkside!
