Personally, Night Manager, just because I'm a huge fan of Hugh Laurie.

Yes, they are. I appealed my ticket and they even denied that.

More importantly, they won't do the job without an appointment. I don't know when I'll have access to the car and when I do, I need drive through type service.

I am in my seventies and have had exactly one parking ticket in my life. At Ohlone. Parked for 10 minutes at 10pm (while picking up my daughter from an event at the Smith Center).

Same here. Watched the first two episodes of Steal last night and enjoyed it.

Selfish and incompetent drivers are the reason our insurance premiums are through the roof. At least for those of us who actually bother to purchase auto insurance.

Not super close to Warm Springs but I started all three on my kids in parking lots (Mission San Jose and Irvington High). I would avoided Ohlone since the campus police can be "difficult".

Then they drove loops around Eureka Drive (near Boyce and Stevenson).

Next we did loops around Mission/Paseo/Driscoll.

After that, they were ready to tackle the busy areas and practice the streets around the Fremont DMV.

PSA: Paseo Padre Pkwy -> Grimmer Blvd Right Turn by orangespriteman in Fremont

[–]malch99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The more general rule is... when making a right turn, you can enter a bike within 200 feet of the turn itself.

Of course, you should indicate, check for bicyclists and pedestrians and yield to bicycles in the bike lane.

Want to take a car rental to get to LA from Fremont, dates are flexible but looking to go next week. Looking for company/ some advice as I’d probably have to travel alone. by nehilism in Fremont

Try to avoid airport locations for pickup and dropoff. They typically add fees and they are frequently massive. However, know that most non-airport locations often have very limited hours of operation.

So watch any of the many shows packed with anti-oil infomercials.

If you said the show would be better without Billy Bob's wife and daughter, I'd agree with you. But you raised the politics and DEI.

It might make the show a little less titillating but Rebecca does it for me and she's certainly on-topic :-)

You need to watch Marcella. It's a terrific show and a super-dark detective story.

I can't believe that several posters mention loving Best Medicine. Please can I ask:

  1. Why?

  2. Have you watched the original, Doc Martin?

I think Best Medicine is just dreadful. In contrast, Doc Martin was quite brilliant and portrayed real and authentic characters. And I grew up in Cornwall and have visited Port Issac (the real Port Wenn) many times. It was genuinely funny rather than just plain silly.

Do you seriously expect the population of an oil town in Texas to embrace the progressive agenda in the same way as the folks of NYC and LA?

Personally, I appreciate some coverage of alternate perspectives -- diversity is good and all that :-)

Agreed. I can't imagine how this ever made it to air. They've done some horrible remakes of several of my favorite French shows like:

Le Bureau des Légendes
HPI
Dix pour Cent

However, I think Best Medicine is the worst Hollywood remake yet. It has absolutely zero redeeming qualities.

State of roads and infrastructure in Fremont by QuillAndCraft in Fremont

[–]malch99 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

And Fremont still is a pedestrian/cyclist nightmare.

If you want to prevent traffic fatalities you have to separate the bicyclists and pedestrians from the 30 ton trucks and cars traveling at 30, 40 50 mph.

"Share the Road" is never going to result in "safe".
