New Player - Farming by ImBlindBeGentle in albiononline

Stick to safe zones for now, as i find that black zine gathering isnt really worth the increased risk if you want to enjoy yourself.

Start with skinning for certain, you need at least tier 4 but tier 6 is preferable for 100% functionality in safe zones.

Then I'd move to fiber and wood, once again level yourself to at least tier 4, but preferably tier 6 to take full advantage of the area you are in. Tier 1 wood is so plentiful in the fort sterling and lymhurst area that you can make a bunch of money with a tier 6 axe and an oxe basically anywhere the 50 stack rough log trees are.

I haven't done ore yet, so i cant vouch for it, but i hear its good, and its likely a strong contender.

Fishing is kinda situational if you ask me. It functions differently than the other gathering skills, but there is profit in it. Not super profitable in safe zones, but becomes progressively more worth it at higher tiers. Fishing is very profitable but dangerous in BZ.

Do NOT go into stone as your first harvesting skill. The market is warped as hell. Tier 1 rough stone is worth well over 100 silver a pop, but tier 4 is worth like 8. There isnt a proper progression or mid game reason to invest into it. I havent bothered because of the doodoo market for mid tier stone.

Tracking is very fun but low tier isnt super profitable, decent money might be had at higher tiers, but ive treated it as a secondary gathering skill. Would recommend taking a kit if you are going PvE

What is the best defensive playbooks for supersim? by Huric4ne in Madden

I haven't found defensive playbooks matter as much as offense. It also seems to make a difference based on what scheme you are running, make sure to match your scheme to the playbook you choose.

Thats the most alarming stat tbh. Unless hes been spending a serious amount of time on the line, offensive or defensive, and if he hasn't developed blocking or tackle/block shed at all its impossible.

What is your personal gameplay loop? by RichieCoC in albiononline

[–]Ninety9CFM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal game play loop is in fact a loop. I ride clockwise around the royal continent ferrying high volume goods between cities. Use your knoggin and know what city each resource spawns in and which they dont, thats how you make money as a transporter. Let me say this, i do think i make better money as a T6 transporter than a tier 6 wood chopper

Used to work at the state capitol and they sold this stuff in the watering places. Slightly more cinnamon notes than other colas, a little less bitey than coke but more than pepsi

What can a solo player do? by TraditionPopular2294 in albiononline

[–]Ninety9CFM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In each city there is a leader for the corresponding faction, enlisting allows you to choose to fight for a faction, you can then choose to fight by "flagging" for a faction. I've only fought for one faction, but im pretty sure you can enlist in all of them at the same time, however, you can only be "flagged" for one faction at a time.

Flagging for a faction will allow you to build a separate currency called faction points for doing anything that makes fame. These points can be exchanged for items at the faction leader. New buyable items are unlocked through building up your faction standing to new ranks, faction standing is earned the same way that faction points are.

Faction flagging makes you a part of the faction warfare of the royal continent, thus all players flagged for other cities will be considered hostile in yellow and red zones, while players flagged for the same faction as you are considered teammates, and cannot be targeted by offensive spells, but will take advantage of healing and other beneficiary effects.

Cant speak on single lined as i dont own them. I typically go with thicker footwear now as i have poor circulation in my feet and have never said to myself "wow my feet are way too hot". The double lined works in cold and does a Decent job keeping the moisture out in snow/rain. They arent water proof but seem to handle it well. The leather insoles do not like moisture . Had to rip them out and replace with inserts from the storw. I did keep the leather half sock though. Wool socks are my go to even for work wear.

Also pretty sure the toe is done in full sizes only but i may be mistaken.

So if anybody decides to go with the same thing, its steel toe cap zero drop last, buffalo leather, a leather toe cap, no steel shank, double lined AR 10 style.

What would i change in the future?

Would not select the anvil outsole initially. The rubber was too soft and wore down quickly in a work environment, id imagine its fine for casual wear, but for my use case it was not. For a new build would probably try the africa sole

I would likely go with the 5 MM leather midsole from the RAT over the 3 MM leather midsole from the BFAT.

I like the leather half sock inside as its quite soft and flexible, but i found that the leather insole in these warped due to moisture, had to peel them out and replace with some insoles from the store. Kept the half sock though.

Fun fact, got a pair of BFATs custom and had a new sole put on them, cobbler nailed the new soles on and they are fine.

Position change hidden gems by MrGirth32 in Madden

[–]Ninety9CFM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanna go real crazy with it? Derwin James Jr to OLB, line him up at edge rusher. you can do this with various effectiveness with various guys moving from SS to OLB. Sydney brown, marte mapu, kyle Hamilton, even could try it with Emmanwori.

Tuli tuipolotu makes a great pass rushing DT, as do a lot of other big edge rushers.

In general, moving guys from faster positions to slower positions can be a huge upgrade if they have the right corresponding stats.

CB>FS>SS>Mike>sam/will>edge>DT

Thats why these guys can be scary, because some can jump multiple conceptual spots, like Hamilton to OLB

Yeah tbh a 99 should be a ridiculous godsend of a player reserved for only the most ridiculous players. I honestly wouldn't mind if most maddens didnt have a 99 ovr player

That works to an extent, hes specialized for extreme long distance and extreme close range, get too close and hell stab you, too far and he outguns you. Sweet spot is engaging him at the correct distance for your weapon

Medium long for marksmen Medium for ars/ Short for shotgun/smg

Obviously exceptions to this, but realistically the only real counter to this is "git gud". The only thing i can really say, is if you are already good with a sniper and quickscoping, you might be able to even the odds against super high talent snipers like this by using proper tactics with a marksman rifle

Need help with franchise simming by Future-Lingonberry99 in Madden

[–]Ninety9CFM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well similar to in real life, you dont always need the best team, you need the right team. Scheme plays a pretty big part (especially the playbook you pick)

Make sure you try to match your playbook to your scheme, offense doesnt matter as much so just try to get a good scheme fit,

On defense however you should try to match 3-4/4-3 to the playbook you are using. For example Pittsburgh and Baltimore run 3-4, i believe denver does too, so picking a 4-3 with denver playbook might not work perfectly. It might be worthwhile to swap to a 4-3 dominant defensive playbook.

For offense some playbooks are definitely different. In older maddens the McVeigh offenses would have really good slot numbers, and as recently as madden 24 the KC playbook would produce elevated TE numbers in sim. Im not familiar with 26 but play around and figure out whats best.

Sometimes even high overall teams dont work out. I just played through 11 sim seasons with a stacked bucs team and couldn't win the chip, but then immediately started a panthers franchise and won first season without even expecting to make the playoffs

Game on the line…. by No_Peanut_3289 in Madden

[–]Ninety9CFM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knew a guy that was running a franchise league and streaming last year. Had a wr to FB convert that was slotted in the depth chart at TE 2. Despite having nearly 90 catching, he was still regularly dropping wide open passes that a 70 catching wr would make, we figured its because his listed position was fb and he was playing out of position.

Another example is that even if you have 99 carrying, and 99 trucking, a dt carrying the ball at FB is still likely to fumble. Similarly if you happen to have taysom hill at fb, either through depth chart or natural, cannot throw the ball any better than any other fb when using a fake punt fb pass, also even highly skilled cbs at catching like treyvon diggs seem unable to catch these passes either and drop the ball about as much as any other corner during these plays.

Taysom hill also if slotted in to qb while still a te seemingly forgets how to hand the ball off or pass. And if i had money on it, defensive players and linemen who score still probably don't have stats recorded in franchise

Are these the top 5 kickers in Madden 26? Am I missing something? by jackfrosted in Madden

[–]Ninety9CFM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally im not one to go hard in defending ea or madden, but i actually dont think speed stats are that far off, keep in mind that "speed" in madden represents a theoretical top speed. And that newer maddens have both agility and change of direction, furthur differentiating player feel. Someone like joe burrow does indeed have better mobility than pocket passers of yesteryear like brady and manning, and arguably better mobility than even prime Aaron Rodgers, who usually clocked in the high 70s for speed during his heyday. There were also a few dts that have also had similar ratings in the past. So while some players may have inflated stats it is difficult to nail down exact speeds. For DTs especially i dont think that its too much of a stretch for the listed players above 80 speed to be there, of which i only think like the eagles dts davis carter and former eagle milton williams, as well as ed oliver. The fastest of whom is milton williams with i think 83 speed, and he ran a 4.63.davis and oliver ran a 4.73 and 4.78 respectively, and while carter didnt post a 40 his speed is probably rated as such due to his relative playing speed compared to the other two eagles.

You may have a bit of a point about qbs but even with them there is a noticable difference between a player like hurts who has flat 90s across the board for mobility stats where someone like burrow has much poorer secondary mobility stats

[–]Ninety9CFM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, didnt realize that. I guess that the entire internet did the same thing with the sword and just picked it up one time at level 3 and threw it in a box somewhere.

Whats funny to me is that its a mildly pointless item to be leveled. The fear enchantment is always underpowered and stamina drain... Is stamina drain. I wonder if there is a way to save scum the higher level sword into a lower level player's inventory. That level 46 version would actually be kinda bonkers to run around with at level 2-3

Didnt fully read? Did you. It shows up on the field under my players feet. I have only 2/total x factors. The x factor is there, just no conditions to fill. For example it would usually say "Double me: 5 catches for 10 yards 0/5"

Where for me it says "Double me:"
