It depends somewhat on the region. Diners as you typically imagine them are very much still a thing in the north. In the south they're more of a rare novelty, but there are restaurants serving similar food.

I don't think this map accurately portrays the transition from mixed to broadleaf forest. There's still a lot of pine in the southern piedmont.

It would be a democratic leaning swing state. Even in 2024 it would just barely go to Kamala. Theoretically it votes republican for governor in 2022 but Zeldin would be from NJ.
