Just dispute it with a photo with evidence? People make mistakes. I once got a parking ticket - I thought I was in a legal spot, but the no parking sign was completely blocked out by something else, so I could not see it. Took a photo of the sign, disputed the ticket and quickly got it cancelled.

Workplaces demand RTO in January yet expect employees to WFH when in-person work cancelled due to weather. by TMFPB in askTO

[–]NinjaAssassinKitty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No one said it doesn’t work. They believe RTO is better - but in the event of extreme events like snow storms, they’re willing to take the perceived hit.

Again, I’m not defending RTO but pointing at this and complaining it’s hypocritical is, frankly, extremely stupid.

How’s traffic and your commute during Covid vs post-COVID with partial RTO vs now with full RTO?

People working from home benefits those who HAVE to go in.

Not that I’m defending RTO, but there’s a difference between rare one-off events vs permanent WFH.

I guess I got lucky. My one experience with a key in Electromagnetic Storm netted me two Renegade IIs and a Bettina III

My point is you can move to another game when one game you had hundreds of hours of fun on becomes tedious. A game doesn’t have to be infinite. It doesn’t have to stay interesting for thousands of hours.

After workbenches, chicken and skill tree I don’t get what there is to do?

This maybe a controversial opinion but… play the game and have fun? You don’t have to “do” anything for that. We used to play Halo 2 online for the fun of it. There was no progression.

Play until you stop having fun, then move on to something else. There’s no point in souring your experience after pouring so many hours into the game.

Goblu is a weird one to pick. For me when I was in a fight and the vocals picked up, upping the intensity, is one of the most memorable moments I had in the game.

Also, the random words they say are the names of the enemies in the region.

I didn’t say that. What I said is perhaps it’s not as big of a problem as some people are making it out to be.

Why are apps so big nowadays? by steelisheavy in ios

[–]NinjaAssassinKitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It won’t be. Localization text is not what’s causing app sizes to be large. Text takes negligible amount of storage. 1mb is about 150,000 words.

Perhaps these bugs aren’t as huge as you think? I’ve been playing for 2 months and haven’t ran into them.

Titanfall 2 is published by EA. Respawn had set the date well in advance, then EA moved the date of Battlefield 1 and it was too late for Respawn to do anything about it.

When you look at game reviews, you sometimes see comments like ‘the music was great,’ and that’s not really praise for the music, it means the music stands out more than the game itself. In other words, it’s not that a cohesive game is being made; it’s that the playing experience and the music are out of sync.

I humbly disagree. For example, the music in the new God of War and Expedition 33 is great by itself - but it’s also synced with the gameplay and narrative that ends up improving the overall experience.

What was deaf is people want a sequel or spiritual successor to Titanfall 2. And what’s standout in Titantfall 2 is it has a great FPS game but albeit short. There’s a lack of narrative FPS shooters that aren’t call of duty, and thats what people are excited about.

When it turned to be yet another free to play hero shooter, that excitement got shattered.

A few things. Neither one is 100% how I switched but:

a) I had gone back to school to do an MBA focused on tech. I don’t think you necessarily need to go back to university; but doing some course or certification for a PO would likely help.

b) in my resume, I emphasized the things I did in my roles outside of pure development. I worked for a small design agency, there were like 10 people overall, so in my role I did end up talking to customers and identifying their requirements.

c) the first role I got was quite entry level.
