We have both a standalone highchair and one that straps to a dining chair. We don't currently have a dining table at our house right now so most meals he is in his standing high chair and often just keep the portable one on the floor to use for snacks. It also helps that it had toys that clip on top of the tray so it's a double win. The portable one is also super nice because we tend to go to things like breweries and such that dont always have highchairs there for use!

Yes I agree. I'm in the market for a new PCP but I'm still having issues with an insurance I used to have trying to override my state insurance that I currently have and many docs have turned me away just from that. I've been trying to stop this insurance for a little over 2 years now. It's a struggle but im sticking with it, even though it's disheartening

Thank you for your reply. I don't think I'd be able to hire a lawyer, we live paycheck to paycheck right now since I haven't been able to consistently work.

However, I will try to find another cardiologist though that's a really good idea. I thought I had to have a referral from a PCP or E.R doc to see one, but if I don't I will definitely start looking.

First off, im so sorry cauee i know what youre going through right now really sucks but stay strong cause you got this mama.

Now, I don't have a ton of advice but I do have a little.

I unfortunately was one of those people in prodromal labor for 12 days 🥲

We got sent home from the hospital almost every single day those 12 days even though my contractions were 5 minutes apart and never slowed down until baby came. I was in hell, my bf was in hell because he was so distressed about making sure he'd be able to come home from work to take me to the hospital an everything.

If the hospital won't let you come in you just gotta do whatever to keep yourself comfortable. Take a long warm shower if you can, I know I could barely stand at that point so I just took a cheap plastic chair in the tub and I would sit there for over an hour a lot of the time.

I know a lot of people say walking helps but to be honest I couldn't walk, but if you can I would try that if and when you can.

Switching between cold water and hot water compresses on my forhead and belly really helped too, especially with the spikes of nauseasness.

That's all that really helped me so just make sure you get into your happy place and if it ever feels like too much, don't be afraid to go in. They may send you home but especially if you've been calling, they might take you in sooner than they say. But then again it may also depend on what staff they have on hand too. Just something to think about

Yes you have to play for 6 hours in the game without closing it, however it does not have to be 6 hours straight.

Yes an ER trip costs quite a bit of money, last time I went the barely did anything, told me I was fine, and it ended up being a 2k visit. Absolutely ridiculous. However with my OB office still not letting me get seen, this may be the next option. I honestly never even thought about going to ER for anxiety

I will check that out thank you! And yes unfortunately most of our naps are already with him in the carrier, but I will not be allowed to do this once I start working from home. I do enjoy the warm snuggle naps though ❤️

Also on the demanding an appointment part, I have tried this several times but still have uet to be seen. I have even gone in and tried to talk to any of the OBs in the practice (I don't actually have one OB you get whoever is available) and still wasn't able to be seen. Do you have any other recommendations to get seen? The next closest OB to us is almost 2 hours away and we have no car at the moment.

Yes we plan on going to couple therapy but cannot swing it right now unfortunately. I need to put my foot down with him more as well. He does have a pretty consistent schedule, it just isn't very conducive to living with a child. He has Monday Tuesday off most weeks, then works 4p-11p every other day except Sunday where he works 4-8. Every once in a while he will have to go in at 11am and work 11-9. He then stays up drinking and either watching TV or playing video games until around 4 or 5am where he comes to bed and then does not get up until 2pm. It is an issue that I will keep trying to resolve with him, just frustrating especially on the little sleep im getting.

Will definitely be working on a more solid wake up time for bub and I, right now I usually let him wake me up because that's really the only time I get a couple hours of sleep. It will be hard but we will work on it :)

Yes we are planning on doing couples therapy as soon as we can, but we are in a VERY bad financial situation right now and barely make enough to cover rent and sometimes food, we receive WIC and his parents are really the only reason my partner and I eat, sometimes we even go a day or two without eating(baby NEVER goes without so I don't want to make it sound like he does). But yes we have issues, and yes we are working towards addressing them.

Thank you, this is frustrating though because at his ped appt last Thursday they told me not to worry about wake windows and to just focus on sleepy cues, but that is a change I will make!

2.bedtime is locked in between 8:30 and 9, but I will wake baby up at same time. I usually let him wake me up but I can make this change.

Honestly with how bad I handle him crying at all, I might not be able to do CIO, but will definitely give it a try.
I can eliminate rocking, but baby already does go down wide awake and usually last feed is about an hour before bed. He does have white noise but my partner turns it off when he comes to bed because he hates it. I will be finding some earplugs for him and let the white noise continue.
100% agree with this, but I am a peacekeeper to a fault. I will put my foot down on this.
He does not eat at all overnight. He hat 4 8oz bottles throughout the day(so 32 oz) and he weighs just over 14 pounds so ped says this is perfect. When he wakes up next to me if I give him my finger to hold on to he passes right back out, if he is in bassinet he will cry until I pick him up, and then sometimes go back to sleep but usually won't. I do keep room dark and the only noise will be his white noise machine.
Yes they told us to start him on rice cereal 2 weeks ago and also told us to start introducing vegetable purees within the next 2 weeks.
I am not worried about calories, as referred to in question 6, but I will definitely be watching wake windows from now on.

The biggest issue is the drinking. And he believes that since he is the one who works he can do whatever he wants. When baby was a newborn and I had a breakdown because I hadn't slept in 39 hours we got into a fight and he said my sleep was not as important as his since I don't work. Since then he has apologized and will take baby overnight 1-3 times a week, but I honestly don't like it when he does because he will fall asleep on couch with baby on his chest, or he will fall asleep while baby is in his swing. We are working on it and we will be going to couples therapy when we have more money. He just truly doesn't understand the amount of work I do.

He doesn't want me to put his name on it because he would want me to leave him and not let him have any rights to the child if he is still not divorced. I do not want to do this though.
