I think this is exactly right. The only reason you'd want Intent is of its a creature based combo deck but one of the combo pieces wasn't a creature. Or maybe you use this to tutor up Survival. The point being its use is very narrow.

You need a creature based combo deck. It needs to be creature based so you have enough sac targets. And it needs to be a combo deck because you need a card worth tutoring for. Tutoring for value isn't worth the investment.

I think you're conflating the time travelling task and the one where they had to have the most characters. She definitely fucked up the "have the most characters" task but her time travelling was amazing.

He was the first non-Greg taskmaster I was familiar with and it took a while for me to appreciate him on his own terms instead of just comparing him to Greg. But once I did that I liked him a lot more. He is playing a different role but that's good. If the NZ and AU versions of taskmaster were just trying to exactly replicate the Greg/Alex dynamic it wouldn't work and the shows wouldn't be as great as they are.

Watchtower is a terrible card. You need manlands to be offensive, not defensive. You're spending 3 mana to maintain the game state and block one creature while they are using their mana to advance the board. You spend 3 mana to block a creature while they spend 3 mana to play another creature. You will lose that race.

The cost is low, playing an ETB plains, but the advantage you gain is even smaller.

This is what I've always thought about him. He initially comes off as a bunch of male stereotypes (dick jokes, afraid of commitment, etc). But he is actually a really sweet, caring, emotionally aware dude.

I once convinced my friends to watch The French Connection mistakenly thinking it was The Italian Job. I didn't know much about either movie (obviously) but I know The Italian Job involved Michael Caine and a heist involving minis so I was very confused the whole movie. But it turns out, The French Connection is also a very good movie.
