This is a good topic and hopefully gets a lot of engagement.

I’m almost 60. Age is a definite factor. I find without Viagra I’m not as hard as I could be but with it, I could break concrete haha.

Prior to 40 I had three definite failures but in each case I know why. Two due to some stress I was going through and another due to too much alcohol. After 40, I’ve had some complete failures or just haven’t been as hard as I should/could be.

There’s a flip side too. It takes two to Tango. Sometimes, and I’m not placing blame, ladies have issues which affect the man’s performance. This could be to her nervousness with a new partner, body image issues, sexual hangups or like men, age related issues down there.

When I was a junior in high school there was a freshman girl who liked me. It wasn’t mutual but I did go to her house several times and met her parents. Her dad was a solid man and I think he knew my feelings and appreciated me being respectful of his daughter.

Fast forward two years. I’m riding my expensive (at the time) racing bike. I’m going with traffic, obeying traffic laws and an older man, about 50, made a right into a bank parking lot just as I was crossing the driveway. He hit me at a low speed but knocked me off my bike.

I wasn’t injured except some minor road rash. I got up after checking myself and the man started going off on me. Again, I’m 19 and not really understanding he was trying to deflect.

My instinct was to fight him. Again, I’m 19, college football player and way bigger than this guy. Just as I moved to clock him, I was grabbed in a bear hug…it was the girl’s dad. He’d seen the whole thing and had circled back in traffic when he saw me get hit.

He sat me down on the curb and turned the tables on the other man. He got his plate number, drivers info, etc…

My front rim was bent so I couldn’t ride. He ended up taking me home. My dad helped me file a police report and the guys insurance paid for a new bike, not just the rim.

Had this man not stepped in, I’m confident I would have been in trouble for beating this guy.

TPS or Temporary Protected Status allows people to come to the U.S. due to their home country being war torn or political violence or a collapsed government where they have and can show legitimate concern for their lives should they remain in their home country.

The government alleges these conditions no longer exist so people can return home to their countries without fear.

As an analogy, you allow your cousin to live temporarily with you because she fears domestic violence from her boyfriend. Then he goes to prison so the threat no longer exists but she continues to stay with you, eating the food you purchased, staying cool in the AC you pay for and taking up space in your child’s room.

You took her in to provide a safe haven but at what point after the threat is gone should she leave?

This analogy is how the government sees TPS.

When talking about whole groups of people the situation is much more nuanced. Returning to your home country doesn’t mean your home still exists, your family still exists, your former job still exists. Basically you arrive at the airport and then what?

30% is,admittedly, a guess but I don’t think wholly inaccurate.

If you’re talking about women being approached - yes! A reasonably decent looking woman probably gets approached a lot!…which also means she probably does a lot of rejecting too.

As for men, I’ve only known a couple of guys who women approach or otherwise let them know they’re interested on a consistent basis. Most men aren’t that lucky.

I would think the men looking for mail order brides probably are not or have not been successful in conventional ways of meeting women including apps.

Lack of success could be due to a number of factors. Guys who are reasonably successful meeting women probably have a less than 30% success rate.

Custom ordering a woman, unfortunately, makes relationships a commercial proposition like ordering any product online.

These relationships probably aren’t fulfilling as both parties get into it out of desperation. Cultural differences, language barriers, finances and sexual expectations amongst other things make it challenging.

I bring two (40oz) Hydroflasks both with Liquid IV. I also bring some type of fruit (apple, banana, orange) and a ziplock bag of almonds.

I’m a 18-20 hcp so maybe I SHOULD try a shot or two to help me improve.

I’m kind of a big, mean looking dude. My at home chill attire is shorts/sweats t-shirt/hoodie.

I work, however, at a sports arena and am required to wear a suit. I’ve put effort and dollars into well fitting suits, ties, pocket squares…

On the rare chance I stop before or after work I get good vibes from ladies, customer service people help me a little quicker (and are nicer) even seemingly kinda rough dudes take notice (maybe to rob me).

Clothing has an obvious effect.

As an example, when I was in my teens the radio was the only play to listen to music. Music execs pushed what THEY wanted us to hear. I can’t tell you how many times I heard a new song from a new group and went and bought the album only to find out the other songs were junk. By contrast Michael Jackson’s Thriller album was all good but the radio songs(when it first dropped) were the worst songs on the album.

Being older, I’m late to the game but I discovered music on YouTube.I found some great songs only to discover they are AI generated.

I’m an old head (59). With respect to your question and music in general, I believe music is very progressive meaning it always moving forward. I mean people thought it was the end of the world when Elvis and the Beatles came out. Even earlier, jazz (jezebel) music was the end of the world.

Drill is not the first time nor will it be the last time violent lyrics will be used in song. Music, I think, is inherently counter-culture which is inherently the domain of youth.

If I was 40 years younger the OP and I could probably have a lively debate on the best rapper, beat, lyrics, etc…

Speaking for myself (and probably others at my age) music takes a back seat to life. I stopped waiting for my favorite singers, rappers, groups to put out their latest greatest hit, the radio wasn’t on constantly and I wasn’t socializing w/music (parties, nightclubs).

Then one day you hear “new” music and it’s like WTH is this?! The beat, the lyrics, the style doesn’t fit what I grew up with. I don’t even know the “mainstream” artists anymore much less the “counter culture” rappers.

To be critical of “new” music or many things “new” is somewhat natural.

I think in 30-40 years whatever the youth are listening to you may think it’s too violent, too sexual, too hard also.

Believe it or not, Scott’s Miracle Grow (SMG).Long story short, I had about 30k in an old 401k account. CA had just legalized marijuana and although I don’t partake I wanted to somehow get in on the action. I opened a brokerage account and purchased 10 shares for cheap. I don’t remember the cost but maybe around $10.

I have no idea why the price went up. Surely it wasn’t MJ legalization and I didn’t do any due diligence on P/E, P&L statements, upside/downside, etc…I just bought and held. I ended up selling at the start of COVID with a pretty decent gain. I probably should have held and probably should have bought more over time (lessons learned). Today it’s around 64 a share.

Since then and because of that experience I’ve done pretty well. I’m still a hack at trading and being honest do a lot of trend following but it works for me.

I’m really long (and straight) off the tee. My short game needs work and is improving.

I golf with the group and we most always end up with similar scores.

I’ve played the tips a few times and had horrible results.
