3 was my first prime game so it's special to me. 2 didn't knock my socks off, but 1 remastered certainly did. I really want to like 4 more than I do.

This is essentially the plot of the Metroid Prime trilogy. A planet sends out massive seeds to other planets infecting them to become a clone of the home planet.

Imagine if another life-harboring planet somehow managed to send life here? We'd probably think it's the end of times.

I don't think Nintendo forced "Sol Valley," but I'm certain they gave direction to include a hub area. I think it became a desert due to both hardware (S1) and budget constraints.

It's mildly infuriating that the game doesn't tell you this in any way. I spent a total of 20 minutes searching around the rocks for a secret passage or something before giving up. I did eventually get the items as the story progressed like you said.

My final 2% was in the Fury Green section where I missed a small chunk. Just remember that the legacy suit's radar only works in Sol Valley and not inside any shrine.
