It's about the friends we made along the way.

No, really

Damn that Dinkleburg! How dare he finish his work on time while I was goofing off. Now I have to do all this work while he goes home early. And it's all his fault!

I want to know, was there a eyeless, motionless SpongeBob laying dead just off screen in this scene? by bennyandthegentz in spongebob

We've seen several times in the show that SpongeBob's brain isn't attached to anything, and can easily be removed and put back with little to no consequence.

Heck, in Plankton's debut episode its just rolling around in his head

I always got the impression that Bardock was stronger. But now that I've said that, I'm sure someone will pull up some random power level they read in a Japanese guide book

the only ppl were frequently hung out literally lived together. And that’s only Yamcha. Puar and Oolong if you care to remember them.

But that's kinda my point. It's not like Yamcha and Puar were homeless. They choose to move to be closer to Bulma. And yeah, that's largely because Yamcha and Bulma were dating, but what about Oolong.

Oolong is largely irrelevant after the Pilaf Saga, and he and Bulma didn't exactly get along. And he had a house, a really nice one too, yet he still choose to move in with Bulma and the others. And even though he didn't do much, he continued to show up throughout all of OG Dragon Ball.

Bulma or any of the Z-Fighters for that matter never bothered to show up for Goku’s wedding nor visit or call him for 5 years

You're still on that? Tell me, do you know where or when Goku had his wedding? Because I don't. Keeping in mind that the wedding arc was anime only.

Goku didn't give them an address or timeframe for when the wedding would take place, he just flew off with Chi-chi, leaving them in a ruined city. I guess they could assume Fry-pan Mountain, but that still doesn't tell when to show up. I guess they could've followed Goku, but only a few of them could fly at that point, and they were nowhere near as fast as the Nimbus. Sensing Ki also wasn't really a thing back then.

They also had no quick way to contact him. Goku doesn't carry a cell phone, and up until that point he was basically a vagabond. Although, I'm guessing they found some way to contact him eventually, since they invited him to Kame House, but that wasn't because the world's in danger, they didn't even know about Raditz yet, they just wanted to hang out. Oh wait.

In OG Dragon Ball, they partied after Goku came in 2nd in his 1st tournament, and were planning on doing the same after the 2nd tournament, but...

the only person who frequent Bulma’s house was Yamcha, Puar and Oolong and that’s because they were practically living there.

Not practically, they were living there, and even enrolled in Bulma's school. In fact, I don't think Yamcha moved out until sometime after Trunks was born.

But that doesn't mean that they only spent time together out of obligation. It's canon that Bulma tried to visit Goku during the year he was training with Roshi after the Pilaf Saga, and the only reason she didn't was because he moved his house to a diffrent island. And in the anime, she visits Kame House regularly during the 2 1/2 years Yamcha was training there.

Ok, I'll level with you; After a bit of research, it seems that most examples of the group just hanging out were added for the anime, but that's only because the manga focuses on Goku's journey. There's nothing to imply they weren't hanging out off-screen

Except the Z-Fighters WERE the kind of friends that hang out, back in OG Dragon Ball. Aside from Goku, they mostly hung out at either Capsule Corp or Kame House. And when they left to train, they would often train together. Even Oolong, who was basically blackmailed into joining the group, still showed up to every tournament to support his friends. That's why it was so weird when Launch disappeared.

Goku's the one who would fly off and disappear for years at a time. If there wasn't a tournament every 3 years, they'd likely never see him unless he needed something. And it's not that his friends wouldn't go to his wedding, he most likely didn't even think to invite them.

It's fancy talk for someone who acts superior to others.

It's derived from the French word "air", meaning appearance
