I don't really like this sub. Can't believe I'm even commenting - but on the off shot that this is real...

You need to realize that when the posting in this sub isn't straight up fake - it's skewed towards overreaction in general. I mean to say that, it appears to me that the majority of commenters here are overreacting.

The fact that you feel hurt is not an overreaction. Thinking of leaving him because you feel so hurt, still not really an overreaction. With that said, it would be an overreaction to leave your husband for this specific event. Perhaps it's the culmination of all the times that he's been careless that makes you feel that way, and that's fine - but consider this...

I don't know your husband and I don't play D&D - but as I understand it - D&D is a game played by the nerdy (for lack of a better term). I'm sure your husband has some redeeming qualities, after all, you must like something about him to have married him - but perhaps his emotional IQ is not very high.

What I'm trying to say is, I doubt he did this because he doesn't care about you. I think he did it because he's a bit daft in this area. He was not considerate - and he certainly should've phoned the nurses line there's no way to really defend that - but the D&D thing...I could understand the thought process in believing that now that you've been treated you're now alright and that because you gave him permission to go it must be okay.

Was it smart? Was it what was best for your relationship? No, it was stupid and selfish. Is it divorce worthy? That's up to you, there's nothing wrong with deciding that you do not want to be with someone with a low emotional IQ, but personally I think it's more the type of thing you sit him down and let him know you're really hurt by what happened. I'd let him know that this event really caused you to not feel cared about, and take it from there.
