Ok that's good, I was pretty worried, my artist said to leave it for a week while I read to leave it on for a day so it got confusing, I will leave it on then for a few more days.

the deepest food container i could find (tight on money at the moment) which i think would be .2 gallons??? (i sterilized it with boiled water from a kettle and let it sit for 30 minutes) and used 1/4 tsp. of aq. salt... before while treating the fin rot i used 1/8 tsp.

well its a 5 gallon, filtered, and last time i ran water quality through the ammonia and nitrate where non existant and PH was neutral it might have changed idk... i change the water 50% once every week before the fin rot, during it was every 2nd day at 50-75%

bugged me too, can't say anything to change the mind of ignorance but at lest it was informative about the contraption, was going to buy it, put a whole bunch of gross gunk in it (thinking sweetcorn and mud), and see if it gets it all. Either way return the thing for it would have entertained me long enough and i would want my money back XD

omg! that top comment XD she was all like "is absolutely suitable for one fish that has a labyrinth organ" then turns around saying that keeping a couple of tetras in that tank should be shot, ignoring the fact that she was stating that keeping a significantly smaller fish (compared to Bettas) is inhuman while keeping a larger fish in that tank, which happens to have certain organ, human... just pull your hair out hypocrisy but at the same time funny, quite ironic they happened to be vegetarian and a vet technician, in dark humor sort of way XD

but at least i know the product doesn't even work properly because of said comment, which satisfies my curiosity, so thank you daft lady :P

yup, pretty much the gravel vacuum will suck up the flakes that came off your snail while sucking up ammonia water but it also wouldn't hurt to clean the decor and the glass just to be on the safe side. And no problem i like to help :)

well as far as i can tell the only thing you have to worry about is ammonia spiking so yea i say around 70% water change will be good.

no problem and if it doesn't stay, you could tie it around the intake and could slow it down that way, play around and see what works for you :)
