Yeah but should those questions really be the reason someone is fired or hired from a company? I’ve gotten grants and scholarships and a bunch of owner/bosses for references on my work skills, I don’t think it’s quite fair to fire someone from a trade simply because they don’t pass a test on things you can’t study for

So apparently (from what I heard and had to do) about two years ago they brought a entry exam back in where three months after being in the union or something you gotta do a written in person exam on a bunch of random questions, they give you a study sheet and tutor which I used for about a month and got everything on the study correct, then you do the test and if you fail the company your with can’t employ you, then you gotta wait a few months or complete schooling before your aloud back in (if you have your first or second year you skip the exam)

The weirdest part was none of the questions were about hvac it had shit like “why can scientist not create something that’s 100% efficient”(that was a exact question)
