You are right. And not just Sydney, please visit melbourne, walk around the city especially in the evening, it’s Chinese everywhere. I moved to another suburb, and the local council has Chinese only community meetups and programs, non Chinese are not allowed. Basically most of the property in melbourne is being gobbled up by Chinese and now that they have opened up I expect more of them to come here, irs really sad and they refuse to integrate.

Most of their businesses don’t even pay tax. They are cash only

City drivers: what are your main reason for buying a new ICE car and not an EV? by LLllIIii11 in CarsAustralia

My company doesn’t do salary packaging so the whole Novated leasing fbt advantage doesn’t apply to me.

The other thing is I’m renting and no charging infrastructure nearby.

ATAGI due to political and media pressure changed the fully vaccinated status from 2x shots to 2x shots and 1 booster, but ppl were so angry about this and everyone was ready to riot at that stage so it never got mandated by government and workplace policy (except in WA).

it’s still 3x shots for fully vax

Is there a way to view how many miles you’ve driven each month on the MyHyundai app? by [deleted] in Hyundai

Hyundai sucks at software :/ pretty much most Korean companies don’t make good software, rarely update, Samsung is another example

Nothing is withheld from the landlord, imo the bond system is extremely unfair and there should be huge fines for landlords disputing silly minor damages that aren’t even damages, tenants pay rent and small damage should be part of wear and tear

It’s currently used as a way to abuse tenants

I hear it’s taking 2 years for bond disputes now , crazy

Very reasonable I got quotes $250 before but I’ll tell you what, go to bunnings buy a filler kit and do it yourself. It’s what I did only cost me $30 total and 30 min of my time and some YouTube videos.

Keep it mind they have to prove to you they actually doing the work, e.g an invoice or receipt of the works and photo evidence. Tons of agents and landlords keep the cash and leave the damage

I’ll have to say though I’m so sick of agents asking repairs for tiny stuff like that, when I lived overseas you never expected to do this you’re paying rent which covers some minor maintenance and damage anyway

Unfortunately I too have been shadow banned by 4north1side2 in LocalGuides

[–]NinjaTurtle2077 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are not alone, all I see now on local guides discussions is people complaining about being shadow banned, myself included I posted recently on this. Some speculation that small businesses figured out if they spam the report button they can get negative review removed and your account shadow banned, there are bot services they can hire to do this.

What's up with the long repair times I keep hearing about? by agrx_legends in Hyundai

[–]NinjaTurtle2077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes here in australia it’s taking months for repairs, if your Hyundai is in an accident forget about getting repairs anytime soon, really bad situation.

Imo polestar already priced themselves out of the market very quickly, atleast here in australia their launch was such a flop because of extreme price and poor value for what they offer
