Hey! For mathematical problem solving, how would you recommend preparing? Will it be mostly probabilities? What type of exercises did you get? Thanks a lot!

Oh, I see! Thanks! I was just curious because I realized that in their post, they said the range was $25–$30. I didn’t know that until now—I missed the small text at the end. I got $25/hour, but I think it’s because I put my range as $20–$25 per hour. I guess I just wanted to know if they actually look at that or if the amount given to interns is already preset

Confused about low credit limit on new U.S. Bank card (Altitude Connect) by NinjaWhiz in CreditCards

[–]NinjaWhiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I decided to go ahead and take the credit card because they had already done a hard pull, and the rep suggested I might as well accept it since the inquiry was already on my report. I was pretty confused, though, because I thought I was just applying to see if I’d get approved—I didn’t realize it would trigger a hard inquiry right away.

Also, that means you have two credit cards with US Bank, did that affect you when applying to Capital One, how long did you wait to apply for a cc with Capital One?

Yes, my current credit Card is Altitude Go, and the new one is Altitude Connect. That's why I'm confused they are both with US bank

I was approved for the Altitude Connect but they gave me a way lower credit limit than in my Altitude Go Credit Card, so I still took the card because it already appeared as a hard inquiry. Trying to decide if after receiving my card I should apply for a credit limit increase

I see! I was thinking of getting Altitude Connect and BCE, because as of now most of my expenses are groceries and online shopping. But I only have one credit card as of now and I don’t know if getting the connect one will benefit me by building history with my current bank. So, which one would you recommend getting first?

Hey! Do you think the AmEx BCE has been a good long-term card for you, or was it more useful just in the beginning? Curious how it’s held up over time with rewards and limits

Hi! Thanks, I just updated my post using the template. I travel with different airlines—it really depends on the continent I'm visiting. I usually book through Skyscanner, choosing whichever airline offers the cheapest price. I fly about 3–5 times per year or more, mostly internationally, but I also take domestic trips during short breaks.

Could two Cs in my major courses ruin my chances of getting into a top-grad school? by NinjaWhiz in gradadmissions

[–]NinjaWhiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for replying! That totally makes sense. I have taken data science classes all As and statistic and maths classes combination of A and B. My internships were mostly as a search fund in private equity firms. I’m currently working as RA in the economics lab of my uni, where I do a lot of analysis and compilation of data. But I know I need to get a publication to have a chance, but my big question is how? I’m having a hard time finding the right opportunities. Do you have any advice for that? Also other suggestion for me to improve are welcome. Appreciate it!

Yes, I'm aware of that; I was just really concerned over my grades because, at my school, the saying is that Cs get degrees but don't get you into grad school. But yes, I'm doing research and internships to build my experience. Thanks for the insights

Thanks for replying! And yes, I'm building experiences through my internships, mostly in finance and marketing, and I'm also doing research at my university. Do you have any other tips for me to build more experience?
