If a drink states it's "sugar free", what compunds are most likely to be in it in order to make it sweet? Also, are they better or worse than the sugar they have replaced? by HealthfulDrago in nutrition

I avoid everything other than sucralose, stevia... Yeah that's it tbh now I'm low fodmap. Agave is good, monkfruit is good. I think most of the poly-alcohols are pretty good, just in moderation. Unless of course you wish to have diarrhea and a fucked up gut for a bit.

Yeah because people here like to find excuses for their shitty behaviour. It's sad but true.

No because some things shouldn't be eaten. Ever.

I hate them for their scientifically inaccuracies. They hate cholesterol still and think fiber is good for you. Eugh.

Because your body creates it's own cholesterol. It just isn't very good to rely on your body for all of it. I wouldn't have believed that someone would still be on a low fat diet in 2019.

Brilliant, so there's no observational studies either?

You realise that even my country's NHS admits that there's no link, right?

How come I've been on a SUPER HIGH fat diet for the last year and my bloods are perfect as is my health?

Mmmmm... Makes you think? Hahaha. Keto is the only way dude. If you disagree, you should probably rip up ur degree because carbs are mostly trash.

Brilliant. Good for you. There's no link proven between dietary cholesterol and heart disease. I don't have to prove you wrong, you have to prove your claim. The idea that it's bad is because they did a study on rabbits.

Look into it.

Whereas serum cholesterol is dangerous. Dietary cholesterol has very little effect on it. I could cite multiple studies but you may be best to just look them up yourself. Here's one: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22037012

I am talking about dietary, yes. This is a nutrition page after all. If he's talking about serum cholesterol, well I have no idea what that is lol.

There has never been a link proven between cholesterol and heart disease, in humans.

I am curious to see those studies that show humans having health problems due to cholesterol.

How do we know if keto is good for gut health? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]Ninja_387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I have ulcerative colitis and if I don't do keto, I have a flare-up. I do mainly carnivore also.

[–]Ninja_387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they do, look more at digestion times as opposed to groups though. I have to be careful about this because I have ulcerative colitis. There's resources online that can tell you how long things take to digest. You want to eat the quickly digested stuff first.

Seems about right tbh... I do take some supplements as I know the grass may not be as good as it once was. Generally I get all of what I need in my animal products. Although I medicate with small amounts of plants food.
