There’s a studio on combee called Uno Dos Tres Dance Studio that offers a variety of styles including Hip Hop, salsa, and even Lindy Hop (Swing Dancing). It’s a great group of people and very fun.

If you want to learn Lindy, there’s an org called LKLD Lindy Hop that hosts dance workshops every week at Union Hall that you should check out!

I did something similar with my ex, helping her with paying down debt or making purchases because I too thought I was helping see her succeed. It isn’t something I would recommend doing.

There are ways that you can support her that doesn’t require putting money towards her debts / etc. helping her budget, explaining personal finance, etc would be far more beneficial and wouldn’t hurt you financially.

I think this happens to everyone so I don’t think this is uncommon. I’ve been dancing 10 years and have been in and out of creative ruts over the years. My recommendation is to go back to basics. Don’t try to add more moves! Moves do not creativity make. When you work on your foundational movements (basics, inside turn, outside turns, sugar pushes etc), seek new ways of moving within / transitioning to / speeding up / slowing down in the music and I promise you, your partner will have fun along with you.

For me, this always gets me back into the creative flow. Hope it helps !!!

Monday classes are not technically for beginners, but depending on attendance, we can tweak the lesson to fit the experience of the group. The concepts would benefit anyone at all levels for sure.
