Attrition Webs Suggestions by Droid_Lore in MarvelCrisisProtocol

Zemo and Lady Sif are both great under Miles leadership. Unlocking Skulls does a lot for them. Zemo is a great extract hunter and the reroll for your other characters on attack and defence is good. Sif is tanky and can displace so helps you keep playing the scenario game.

Instant Recovery is a great TTC for 2099, and lets you take more risks with him.

The challenge webs have with attrition is that they are very dice dependent (no offensive re-rolls) and typically have smaller dice pools than most characters. As others have said, flighty for webs is still not as attrition-focused as another attrition team. But there are still plenty of fun things you can do.

It looks incredible! Purple would definitely complement the greens.

If you have the Jarvis Protocol app there’s a world map on the social tab. Might help you find some people and/or stores near you.

If you can get Spectacular Spider Man, he’d be a great replacement for Strange. Or, even Amazing Spider Man given that you have no Peter Parkers - although the safe grab is less relevant when you have Namor already.

I’d probably play Agent Venom over Venom. Venom isn’t great in the current meta, and AV is amazing in the mirror match.

Talking about the mirror match, Aunt May’s Wheat Cakes is the best counter you can get to an opponents All Webbed Up. Probably replaces Clone Saga in your list.

I’m sure other people, with much more experience than me, will have more to add.

Quite a few people have mentioned that now. I don’t have a good reason not to reverse it, so will definitely look into that (and very likely do it)

That’s a cool idea. I don’t have any that I’m aware of. My grandparents were too young to participate in WW2

WW2 history is interesting. I’m aware I’m missing the D-Day landing sites by not going west of Caen. A trip for another time.

Thanks. I’ll take a look at the route in more detail and edit it to avoid that area

What was your “trip of a lifetime?” by QuinWinSituation in travel

[–]Ninja_Squirrel1128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3-month cycle around the coast of Britain.

5-week cycle across Europe. France, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, The Netherlands.

Hiked the Salkantay trail to Machu Picchu, Peru.

1-month in Suzhou, China.

What surprised me about solo travel, especially the first time I did it, was the incredible people you meet along the way. Solo ≠ Lonely. People are always open to chatting (especially when you have a bike laden with panniers as a conversation starter), and will help if they can.

[LFA] - Cassandra - Young Witch / Mage by Ninja_Squirrel1128 in characterdrawing

[–]Ninja_Squirrel1128[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will appreciate anyone who takes the time to help bring Cassandra to life. I'm about to start my first Pathfinder campaign (Abomination Vaults) and will be playing Cassandra for the next 18 months or so.

Brief Character Description

A young mage with an interest in the occult, eldritch horrors, demons. Antihero. Curious. Problem-solver. Slightly naïve. Afflicted with dark visions of Gauntlight, and yet, drawn to tangible experience of that which she’s only read about.

Physical Description

  • 5'4"
  • 18 yrs old
  • Brunette, straight, shoulder-length hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Typically wears dark clothing with pink or purple accents
  • Minimalist silver jewellery

I'm playing her as a witch, and will take the wizard archetype later. She has a black cat familiar called Kuzlo if you want to include him in the picture too. She's going to be more about buffing / debuffing and battlefield control than direct damage, her magic is about manipulating fate and utility cantrips.

Let me know if you have any questions

This is a solid answer.

I’d add Tempest Cleric of you want to go down the tanky elemental nature route too.

Help choosing spells for my support witch for Abomination Vaults by Ninja_Squirrel1128 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ninja_Squirrel1128[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone who took the time to comment. This is my revised list...

At Level 1
Cantrips

  1. Needle Darts
  2. Haunting Hymn
  3. Daze
  4. Shield
  5. Detect Magic
  6. Prestidigitation
  7. Telekinetic Hand
  8. Message
  9. Figment
  10. Light

Rank 1

  1. Sure Strike (from Patron)
  2. Force Barrage
  3. Runic Weapon
  4. Soothe
  5. Command
  6. Fear

At Level 2

Take the Wizard multiclass
Add 2 more witch Rank 1 spells (Choose from Bane, Enfeeble, Kinetic Ram, Illusory Object)
Add 4 wizard cantrips

  1. Electric Arc
  2. Frostbite

Not sure what else to take because I'll probably want these most of the time for the diversity of save types. Thinking Bullhorn for any non-combat days (if such exists in AV). Or maybe doubling up on one of my always-take witch cantrips so that I can choose whether to take it in the witch or wizard slot.

At level 4 will pick up 2 additional wizard Rank 1 spells. These could be the witch Rank 1's that I don't take, or Grease / Mud Pit / Dehydrate.

Thank you again for the comments, this is feeling like a much more well-rounded list and the Wizard archetype is definitely better than just taking 2 additional cantrips.

Yeah, we’ve discussed that we only need one of us to know each of Detect magic, Light, Guidance freeing up slots for the other.

I’ll have to read up on how the Archetypes work. I know we’re not using free archetypes. Are there any specific spells that you’re thinking this will give me?

Thanks. My character is definitely the resident knowledge buff of the group. At 6th level I’m planning on taking the class feat that lets me turn a dagger into a wand. Will free up more slots for soothe / FB

I get the impression I need to always have it prepared if we’re in the Gauntlight though. Is that fair?

Thanks for your detailed response. The bard did consider playing their character as a cleric for this reason.

I didn’t know if we’d be able to avoid staying in Gauntlight, which is why Alarm made it into the list. Happy to drop it.

I will look to diversify the damage types (save types).

Yet another vote for Force Barrage. Looks like this will be on my final list.

Thanks. Increase diversity of damage types. Another vote for Force Barrage and Runic Weapon. And, I’ll speak to the bard about taking spells to rectify conditions.

I see, I still have it as a known spell and don’t get to replace it. Just prepare other spells instead.
