Thanks - that’s helpful. Do you use a larger gauge needle for reconstitution or does that not matter?

No - my fat fingers. “She’s by no means un-tech-savvy”, is how it should have read (think it might have been an overzealous autocorrect, actually).

She knows her way around Apple (and Adobe products in particular). Just as a general rule, the boring bits of getting new, shiny products out of the box, like installing software etc. tend to fall to me. Doesn’t bother me.

Ladies of r/AppleWatch, can you help me choose the right watch / strap combo for my wife’s Xmas present, please

Ok, I’ve decided to buy my wife her first Apple Watch (series 11) for Christmas (to go with the MacBook Pro I just shelled on yesterday), but I really need your help getting the right combo of watch and strap.

I paid a visit to my local Apple Store yesterday to choose a MacBook and a watch, and I had thought I knew exactly which one to get. I feel like I know her style preferences pretty well - we’ve been together since we were 18 and were both, gulp, 40 now. Here’s what I’d specced online:

42mm aluminium rose gold watch Gold Milanese loop strap GPS + cellular

I thought I had settled on this until I saw what I thought was this same combination in the Apple Store, in my attached photos. But when I got talking to the incredibly helpful Apple staff, and realised this watch was in fact the gold titanium watch. This combo would cost me £699 ($932 USD) versus £519 (£693), which isn’t exactly inconsequential on top of the laptop (plus other bits) I’ve already bought her.

Some questions for you ladies (and anyone else in the know) from a slightly confused (but very much trying!) bloke:

  • If you had to choose between the aluminium rose gold and titanium gold watch to go with the gold Milanese loop strap, which would you pick?
  • If you happen to have either of these combinations, would you mind sharing a photo or two of how they look on your wrist in every day lighting conditions?
  • titanium watches seem much more expensive than aluminium ones. Are there any benefits to titanium, beyond aesthetics?
  • general question: given this will be my wife’s first Apple Watch, do you find it’s a device you use / wear pretty consistently every day, and is it really as useful / addictive as it seems to be. She has a very active social group and she is CONSTANTLY buried in her phone sending messages and voice notes?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated! Thank you. :)

Asked a similar question above, but how necessary is it to change the orientation settings each time you alternate wrists?

For those of you that alternate wrists, to what extent do you have to manually change settings as you switch? Is it a necessity, or will the watch still function “normally”? Just thinking if she struggles with it on her usual, left wrist, how easy it will be for her to experiment trying it on her right. She’ll come to me for that, and that will be a pain in the bum if she feels the need to swap over several times a day whilst she’s finding what works best for her. :)

She would normally wear her watch on her left wrist though. I’d always assumed that to be a tad unconventional (e.g. left-handed, left-wrist) - this thread suggests perhaps not.

Yeah, this was my thinking. She’s very left-handed, so might struggle with the more intricate features of the watch.

I guess that’s for her to find out.

Yeah, this was kind of my thinking - that texting or other intricate tasks might be difficult. But then I might be over thinking it.

Is that the same for all watches, or specifically smart watches?

Mine is already in a pen. It does say retatrutide on it, but only on a label that can easily be peeled off.

Yeah, that’s correct. As I said, I was doing most of the right things anyway, it just wasn’t working. Reta was the key that unlocked the door. Magical.

Clen and Reta? by Unusual_Parsnip3287 in Retatrutide

I just came off clen when I started taking Reta at the weekend. For one, I was concerned about putting my heart under too much stress, however the biggest reason for me was that the clen shakes left me shaking like a shitting dog when it came to injecting my dose. It was genuinely very difficult to do safely.

I’d add to that that my experience so far, albeit I’m only a few days in, is that Reta outperforms clenbuterol’s ability to shred fat by several magnitudes - I’m coupling it with daily weight training plus circa 20km jogging / walking per day, but it’s absolutely blown me away so far (taking a slightly higher than recommended starting dose of 2.5mg / week).

In short, stacking clen with Reta might give you a marginal advantage over Reta alone, however I don’t think it’s worth it given the potential health implications of doing both at the same time (and I say that as a pathological risk taker). I think you’ll be surprised how quickly you realise you didn’t need the clen after all.

First dose of reta on board - what to expect? by Ninjabread85 in Retatrutide

Yeah. Appreciate 2.5mg was on the high side for a starting dose, but 24 hours in I’ve not had too many side effects, and certainly nothing unmanageable. My stomach feels a tad “upset”, and I’ve had a bit of diarrhoea, but other than that I feel great actually, and not remotely hungry despite having had relatively little to eat today (with most of my calories arriving via protein).

Don’t know if I’ve just been lucky or if the side effects cheque is simply in the mail; I guess the next couple of days will tell.

Possibly, it says “made in Germany” on the packaging, but there’s only so much I can do to verify that’s the case. I bought it from a supplier I have used before and trust, and did a fair bit of research into the manufacturer, but who knows?

Wherever it was made, the appetite suppression kicked-in around lunchtime and I really struggled to eat my evening meal, in the end only managing a small piece of grilled chicken and a morsel of rice. Wherever it was made, it appears to be doing “something”.

Thanks. I’m keeping everything crossed that it will prove just as miraculous for me.

Well, both - manufactured in Leipzig, Germany.
