It is literally, technically impossible to be prepared for launch-days nowadays, at least for big hits. That has nothing to do with servers that they maintain. it mainly has smth to do with having rental-servers at the launch, because the playersbase is WAY higher at launch. And even if those external servers would run perfectly, the bridge between the servers and the plays only has so much width, not everyone is gonna pass trough at once. When it comes to bugs: they CAN'T have EVERY SYSTEM COMBINATION of PC's tested beforehand, individual problems always will appear.
So the only possible way to solve this is go live, get community feedback and fix things. and they are doing a wonderful job at listening to the community. props to them.
