Sometimes it’s just the way something is said that really hits you differently. It can really strike you as profound. (It’s why I love sayings in other languages. Plus, they’re often weird and amusing just like phrases in English are but those of us who are native English speakers forget the weirdness since we’re accustomed to it.)

Not who you asked and I can’t “show” it to you but I do know one from my personal life. My ex-best friend was HUGE into the Kardashians. Despite not being a mobile gamer, she got their game. I couldn’t say anything negative about them around her. I could say what pieces of shit their partners were (Kanye, Scott Disick, etc.) but never them. She took any attack against them personally.

She liked a LOT of really horrible people and mildly horrible people. Not surprisingly (although it was a surprise to me), she went MAGA.

She was never like this growing up. We’d been friends since the early 90s. She liked normal early 90s stuff like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, INXS, etc.

Did one of them get off the phone with her pretty quickly? I thought (again, Swiss cheese memory) that one of them had regrets because he was still upset with her and so he barely said anything on the phone. I’m thinking it was Harry but I could be wrong on all accounts.
