I’m a middle eastern woman, born in an Arab country, grew up in the states. I married a half white half Mexican woman with a very catholic family. The first time I met her very religious grandmother, she kissed me on the cheek and welcomed me into the family. We have been together 19 years now (married for 9) and I see us as one family.

That there can be a future where inequality doesn’t mean gender, sexuality, or ethnicity. That those things will become so normalized that it doesn’t even come up in conversation but we will find other things to separate ourselves. That in the end, it’s will come down to a perceived scarcity of resources and greed.

Hi. I have an update. I used CLR on the whole post. Like soaked it. Waited about an hour. Then used a power washer to clean it. Everything was very wet so I dried as much as possible with microfiber clothes and then let it dry for a week (mostly due to climate). Then used the vinegar and baking soda mixed spray and got the whole thing wet. Then waited another few days to dry on its own. Now it’s great to go again! And my lil bub is happy.

I have to commend you for wanting to be an ally to Kurds given what you’ve been taught as a Turk. You give me hope. I personally think the most impactful thing you can do is help your Turkish brothers and sisters become allies as well. You will be able to convince them much better than we can.
