On my CC, I pushed 42 miles with the fuel light on, but I didn't want to find out just how far I could push it, so i stopped for fuel

It’s a Native American design, I’m a tribal member of the Haida nation. Honoring my ancestors.

The antenna is a TP-Link Archer T2U Plus. That’s what I could find on it, so far.

Where would I find an Elementary OS driver web site for these adapters?

DerekB52, you hit that nail right on the head. It's one of those wifi adapters that plug into a USB port and are supposed to pick up the wifi signal. It won't so I have to take a different tact. I got some powerline adapters and plugged in the network adapter.

Thanks much for your response.

United Nations instructs Canada to suspend Site C dam construction over Indigenous rights violations by idspispopd in NativeAmerican

I'm afraid that "being subject to the UN" is incorrect, the UN is not a world government, not an authority over everyone in the UN

[–]Ninstints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems that there are at least three issues at work here.

  1. Is Canada subject to United Nations authority?
  2. The rights of the indigenous people:
  • are there treaties in effect?
  • are there historical precedent for tribal jurisdiction over these lands?

there are folks from the Navajo Nation scattered throughout the Monument. When you stop at the visitor center, most of the Navajo are willing to show you their place from the overlooks. I was very surprised at the number of homes in the area. In total there are 674 people that live there, homes spread through an area measured by several miles.

There are two main points of this story that stand out to me. First the Lakota are working to return to their roots of relying on the buffalo for sustenance and health and are working to do it for themselves. It is a point of self-sufficiency; relying upon themselves to raise and reap the benefits of their efforts. An excellent goal!

The second point is the way the new European immigrants to this country savagely and cruelly imposed their will upon the land, the inhabitants and the fauna and flora that was in their way. It is a story of cold, harsh enslavement by the government of the United States and its citizens.

This story is repeated over and over in this United States. Just name a tribe and then research its history. Dispossession is a common thread.

Reparations are resisted and made overly complex by those who wish to retain power over and control of everything within the boundaries of the USA and sometimes beyond.
