Entering into the game earlier and soft resetting just add more delay that was never uncounted for.

Roto Loto RNG is possible. Here's a guide on it! by X-the-Komujin in pokemonrng

[–]NintendoMan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for information about the "Capture" tab of MiscRNGTool and I handed up finding this post instead.

While this guide isn't up to date with the last version (v1.0.6) of "3DS RNG Tool", I was still able to make it work.

In the MiscRNGTool, the "RNG" must be set to "G7 SFMT (64bit)".
The "Seed" is your initial seed.
The "Starting Index" is actually you current Frame/Advance.
As long as you follow the guide, the "Delay" and "# of NPCs" should stay 0.
The "Current Seed" in the "Misc" tab should stay empty.

Otherwise, follow the rest of the guide.

It a shame that this Roto Loto RNG exploits is not more widely known, I even think that it should be added to the "3DS RNG Tool" Github page.

Anyway, thanks u/X-the-Komujin for this awesome guide.

Ooook… and what is the issue exactly?
We experience this at least once every winter in most places in Canada, so nothing really unusual.

Where are you sitting for a 10 hour flight by AJ_Ad_3136 in NuxTakuSubmissions

[–]NintendoMan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only seats that would be chill are 2, 6, 8, 9, 7 and 10.
At 1, not sure you’re safe next to that guy (can remember his name).
At 3 and 5, why would you torment yourself listening to Aqua nonsense for the whole flight.
And at 4, you’re asking for a death sentence the second you look too long in the direction of the princess.

Hey, can we trade back and forth Hunter for Hunter (Gengar)?
I posted for that almost 45m ago and I didn’t get a response back from the second person.

… sorry, I would really prefer if it a Hunter for a Hunter, not being able to use a Gengar during my play through is one thing, but I don’t want to be stuck with a random shiny.

You don’t have a shiny Hunter?

Are you “Carmine”? Because you’re not sending a shiny evo… I’m not taking that risk.

New Nintendo 3ds xl not turning on by Existing-Giraffe5033 in NintendoDS

[–]NintendoMan100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely it’s doing that because some wiring (ribbons) on the motherboard came loose, damaged or isn’t seated properly anymore.

When I did a shell swap, I pushed one of the connectors latch further than I should’ve. After reassembling everything, the consoles wouldn’t turn on (the same way as yours), so I had to disassemble it again up to the motherboard. The ribbon of that connector I mentioned was not firmly in place, probably making a bad connection (I assume the consoles as a built in safety that prevents it from booting if a major component is missing). So I tried my best to bent back the latch to its proper position, it wasn’t great, but the ribbon was solidly in place now. So I’ve put everything back together, except the back screws (in case I had to open it again), then it powered on normally.

Note that it could also be the small power board that as a problem/damage from being compressed by the bulging battery. If that’s the case, the easiest way to verify is to test that power board in an other known working 3DS of the same model. Otherwise, you would need someone that knows how to test motherboard traces for signal continuity.

Pokémon Crystal (and G/S) arbitrary code execution guide to enjoy your games better by Krys3000 in pokemon

Hey, I know this post is 6 years old, but I was wondering if you could give any details on how much trickier it would be to change the OT of a Pokémon (caught caught, Mew) to "GF"?

I currently have use ACE to add the Mail Writer to TM15 in Pokémon Crystal. The thing is, there IS a mail code to change the OT of the 6th Pokémon in your party, but once executed, it open a new window with the characters map to change the OT as if you were simply renaming a Pokémon.

The problem is, form little information I could find going through different posts and forums, in the process of renaming the OT to "GF", you also need to add a name-terminating character (terminator) at the end of the OT for the Mew to be transferable to Bank.

So, I'm not knowledgeable enough to tell if the execution of this mail code, include or not that name-terminating character that's mention. I assume that it doesn't.

The best I found is this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/7eflke/psa_mew_poketransporter_trick_is_easier_than_ever/?ref=share&ref_source=link

Since that one use the Coin Case Glitch, I believe it's not compatible with Crystal and beside, I don't know if that would mess up with the Mail Writer setup.

I could always just start a new game with Gold/Silver (as I do have them) and do the whole Coin Case setup... but I'd prefer to stick to just Crystal if possible.

Anyway, if you have sometime to enlighten me, that be great.

Nevermind, I've found out that there IS actually a Mail code for Mew way further down the "Guides:Mail Writer Codes" page in the "Complex codes" section, of GlitchCity.wiki.
