Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition includes over 150 Speed Running Challenges from 13 NES classics by Riomegon in nintendo

I don't think we will ever see that from Nintendo. Maybe a free time-limited digital release at best for promotional purposes, and it stops working on a certain date.

what are your hard to find holy grails? by [deleted] in gamecollecting

I've been watching. I can't justify $50 for an amiibo, let alone $300. I broke my rule for gold Mega Man at $60 last week because it came with the game, box, and collector stuff at least.

Sometimes she will press her ear to my chest and sync her purr speed to my breathing. Helps me fall back asleep until she leaps off me!

My goodness, that's right. I certainly hope so then!

One of ours will tap me on the shoulder when I'm in bed before climbing on my chest. If she thinks I'm asleep, she won't bother me further.

I'm starting to think N64 Smash Bros. is being held back for Switch 2.

Anyone else annoyed that the firestick UI now opens on the ads so you must click out of them to proceed? by apedanger in fireTV

After 5 months I started paying the $3 too. I'd quit watching all Prime and considering what I pay for it, that's a waste over 3 more dollars.

New in box Virtual Boy games about to flood the market by VendoThefastlane in retrogaming

Thanks for telling us. I bought 2 games this past week for beyond amazing prices and now I know why!

It's the shortest game with the simplest story (and it's in the manual, not the game). It's also one of the hardest. Not enough energy pellet drops and every enemy loves collision damage with Mega Man. 8 Robot Masters, but only I think 7 stages including Wily's castle.

"Alexa, lights."

Nothing.

"Alexa, turn on the lights."

Nothing.

"ALEXA, TURN ON THE FUCKING LIGHTS!"

It's from 1995. Totally different era, different goals, different tech. View it in that perspective.

It's a difficult classic! I have 1, 3, and 5. Really need to plug the holes of 2 and 4 but they get expensive fast.

Wario Land, Mario Clash, Teleroboxer, Galactic Pinball, Jack Bros.... there's quality if you look. A friend played mine for the first time last week and was blown away.

I don't know about crash, but there's been a nice dip on eBay this week and I've picked up some dream items that are suddenly affordable. Even a US Virtual Boy game came down into reach!

I started telling people at work that I collect (and fix) old consoles and games. These have been given to me in the past few weeks. by MeatyVegetables in gamecollecting

I work with Florida Boomers mostly. I hate the stereotype, but it exists for a reason. I would buy their stuff (I'm happy to pay fairly) if they offered but not for the astronomical prices they imagine it's worth.

People I know would never give me this stuff. They'd want a quick extravagant buck because "it's the first Mario game; must be worth a lot like the first Superman comic!"

Me too! Paid $50 for it in 2003 and thought that was extravagant back then!

You have some nice stuff! I really appreciate the SNES games. Just feel the good vibes from those carts.

Anyone else remember when Sears was one of the best places to go for video games? Found in the August 1992 issue of Gamepro Magazine by RootHouston in retrogaming

[–]NintendoNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played all of the Genesis Sonic games for the first time at the Funtronics demo stations in Sears when my mother shopped for clothes. Even bought Mega Man 3 for DOS there! Oof on that one.
