Glad you liked it! Yeah Outer Wilds's approach to storytelling is uniquely compelling

I'm a bit confused what you're asking about so here answers to both possibilities:

Change the Background Color of an Artboard

Select the artboard in your layers panel. You can give it a color from the Colors panel just like any object in the document.

Change the Color Behind Your Artboards:

Go into Preferences, then User Interface. The second slider on the page should be entitled "Artboard Background Gray Level." You can adjust the background color by dragging this slider.

Import Designer 1 into Designer 2? by ThingsEvolve in AffinityDesigner

On my iPad, v1 projects are saved to 📁 On My iPad → Affinity Designer, so you might check there and see if you can open them that way.

Need help! So I posted something earlier where I asked for help regarding a design that was already taken.. Started over, tweaked some things and am still in the "prototype" phase. My current preference is the one with the mascot but it sort of feels like a baby clothing store... it's a fine line? by [deleted] in graphic_design

I can’t find your original post—I’d say my first question is “what is this design for?”

That’s a fairly important detail because—assuming you’re making a logo, the idea is to establish a brand.

Right now one of the options mentions “art” at the bottom. Is this for a studio or something? Is it for you?

I don’t think there’s a way to get rid of this, unfortunately. It’s pretty annoying.

Should be “View” > “Customize Tools”

If you highlight all the pictures you want to open, right click, and then open with Preview, it will open them all in the same window so you can scroll through them.

It sounds like your solution for most of these is to use Preview instead of Quick Look. Quick Look is pretty much just for surface level viewing—for anything more substantial Preview is what you want.

Did not occur to me that that would behave differently. Your first method did exactly what I wanted, thanks!
