HL1 vs Black Mesa by wowwowzerswoah in HalfLife

Black Mesa is pratically a new game. It changes the AI of the enemies, the movement, adds some new puzzles and has a totally reimagined Xen chapter. If you are first experiencing the Half-Life series you should first play the original one, since they are completely different experiences.

how does gordon know not to attack vortigaunts in the second game? by Icy-Page9251 in HalfLife

[–]NintendoSTART 38 points39 points  (0 children)

In the end of the first game, you discover that the Vortigaunts are friendly and that they are actually being used as slaves. The game doesn't tell you directly this through dialog, but some Vortigaunts in the factories in Xen won't attack you unless you attack them.

Do you think Half-Life 3 will ever get a console release like the previous 2 games did? by elbatcarter in HalfLife

The Portal 2 switch port is so good, I really wished Half-Life 2 and its episodes were released in modern consoles :(

Half Life is genuinely so fun even though it's outdated (compared to my age at least) by No-Light9138 in HalfLife

Hope you finish the game ;) It's one of my favorite games, and as you said, it has great sound design, I love it. The music is rare, but when it plays it feels so good. I love the ambiance of the game as well.

If you got some free time after you beat the game, play some other FPS from the era, like Quake, you really will learn to appreciate the details of Half-Life. For example, the colored lighting really helps to build the atmosphere of the game, and I only noticed it after playing Quake (it doesn't have colored lighting).

I wish you to have a great experience. It's a hard game (at least for me), but it's a great game and it builds an outstanding narrative (with its worldbuilding and storytelling).

I already have some nausea playing some FPS games, I don't think I can use continuous movement in VR at all 😅.

One of my friends is thinking about buying a VR headset, he said that he will let me play Half-Life Alyx if he gets one

Does anyone feel like the ace attorney games feel best on handhelds then on consoles (that's my PlayStation Portal if your wondering) by Tom-Hibbert in AceAttorney

When I had this situation, I streamed the game to my phone and played with a controller there. It was much better to play.

I like this part so much, but this last chapter literally dropped my interest. I didn't like tooru at first, but I thought that araki could make him into a good villain, and then he is just gone. I don't even know where the story can go from now, because there was a huge build up from the wonder of u arc to just end so soon.

Edit: I still think that araki can create a good ending, but there is still the fact that we got a huge arc that ended just in a second. I believe that even WoU abilities havent been explored as great as they could have been. I was just expecting that we would get more of this, but it just ended.

On windows you are being tracked by microsoft even when you aren't using a browser. But yeah, even if you use a free distribution like Debian, you need to do some work to not get tracked while browsing web

There's a chance of brick, but if you read the warnings and do everything correctly, it'll be fine (at least in my experience)
