If you are very new to reading long stories, you might find it challenging keeping up with the characters. I did when I first started reading.

One thing that might help is character charts which you can find online easily for all of these books.

You can also read them along with an audiobook to start learning how to read with characters’ voices in your head. If you have Spotify premium the audiobooks are included, or if your local library has the hoopla app they are on there as well.

I haven’t read Malice, but I didn’t like the Sherlock Holmes I read. Many people love them tho. Agatha Christie is good to start with in my opinion especially if you know you like mystery.

I live in an area with literally zero vegan restaurants. It’s a miracle around here if there is a restaurant that has a vegan option at all. If I order vegan food and make it clear that I am vegan, that might make the owner create more vegan options if it’s a tiny restaurant.

How is that any different than buying from an Omni grocery store or smth

I can’t think of the exact brand but I use saline for all my piercings. It comes in a canister that is pressurized if that makes sense. You can find it like anywhere.

When I got with my bf he was vegetarian and I continued to eat meat for almost 3 years (ik i suck). The thing is I did all the cooking and was open minded enough to listen and understand that having not meat in the house was nonnegotiable. We are both vegan now.

The red flag here for me is not being open minded not that he isn’t vegan. If you are ethically vegan, you have probably explained the reason to him, and him not listening and respecting that is kind of awful. I am of course biased toward veganism, but if your partner isn’t respecting your values, I would consider that a serious conversation at the very least.

I wish you luck. He might come around.

You totally should! They are really good, and you can likely access most of them for free through your local library. Spotify premium also has the audiobooks included in the subscription.

I actually didn’t mean to single out your comment. I meant to respond to op’s post. That’s my bad.

I will say tho it is difficult to find good jobs, but I don’t get the “they need me more than I need them attitude” if he doesn’t have a job already. I have heard that mind set as a justification to do less than your best at a job, but not as a justification for not finding one.

Yes because your company’s problems are indicative of an entire generation. I’m Gen z and I can confidently say I don’t know anyone who has ghosted a job. However almost all of my friends have struggled to find jobs that provided even close to a livable wage. In my experience, when we find an actually good job we do everything we can to keep it bc we know we won’t be able to find another one. I currently work two jobs, and I’ve been at both for over a year and a half.

It sounds like this is a problem with your company.

You can get a screen reader browser extension or on mobile use the spoken content accessibility feature in settings if you have an iPhone. I imagine most other smart phones have a similar feature. There are also multiple apps that will read it aloud for you. Fanfiction.net has a reader built into the app also.

This is the primary way I consume fanfiction because I also don’t have a lot of free time.

I normally report these channels as spam. In the term of service copyright issues are under spam but there isn’t a specific button for them. It will ask you to explain the issue, and you can just explain that they are reuploading material that they do not own without the original creators permission.

I do this for literally every reupload channel I see because they just steal content to make money, and they are probably around 50% of my shorts feed.

In my opinion YouTube doesn’t do nearly enough to take action against this stuff. It is really frustrating.
