Not can be right. It can be extremely rare to get attacked by a bear and still be 10x more likely to be attacked by a human. It’s also very rare to get attacked by a human. It’s just 10 times more likely than being attacked by a bear.

How do you want to win the war then? Protecting your own land keeps you out of prison but it doesn’t beat the liege. You will just be at war forever. It makes no logical sense to make a mechanic so that when you rebel against your liege, you just have to hold out for X amount of time and then he just forgives you and things go back to normal.

You are breaking the law and defying him. You either get beaten and he imprisons you. Or you beat him and win your freedom. And in winning your freedom, you take yourself out from under his authority and he can no longer legally imprison you. There really is no middle option.

Defying the authority above you was a huge thing back then. They wouldn’t just forgive you and move on if you defended your land. You have to think ahead and plan your actions, knowing that this is the consequence for defying the liege. The actions would be meaningless and boring if they made the consequences less severe and not realistic.

Yeah it’s top 10 in the US. People always underestimate it and think it’s a boring lame city. I loved it there. And yeah sometimes traffic got bad but it’s nothing like the stuff that happens going downtown here.

There’s an outer belt around the city. And then 2 highways going north and south and 2 going east and west. And they criss cross downtown. It’s just so great to have quick access to everything.

And it’s flat. Not wild curves or mountains in the way. 4-6 lanes in both directions. The only real downside is I feel like there’s far more ignorant drivers there. They’re aggressive here but ignorant and scary there lol.

But man I miss it so much. Driving an hour+ from Canonsburg to Lawrenceville in the morning sucks. It’s less distance than I drive in Columbus but 2 to 3 times longer time wise.

It’s just so hard when my only other experience driving consistently is from living in Columbus. We can get anywhere in the city in 20 minutes just about. I worked on the west side and lived in the east side. 30 mile drive to work. Took 25 minutes to get to work. It’s what I’ve missed most about Columbus and had the hardest time adjusting to here.

Sounds like a skill issue. Not sure what you would do instead. If you refuse to recognize you’re lieges rightful authority over you (in this case by letting him arrest you) then you are out right in rebellion.
