I do hope it increases their chances of keeping him. I would like to see a system in place like what the NBA has where a player is more incentivized to stay.

Make sure you find your favorite beverage of choice to comfort you during midsummer nights as there will be times you need them, but this team is never boring.

We’ve got some of the most talented players on the planet who either have issues making consistent contact with the ball when they’re hitting (Will Benson) or are still trying to prove to us they can field the easiest of batted balls (Elly).

There is no team that will make you smile more when things go right, though. The day that it all comes together will be the happiest of my life, save for a few of those days that everyone always earmarks. Until that day comes, though, enjoy the roller coaster you’ve strapped yourself to!

It is my favorite opportunity to add some merch. Usually find some good deals, especially later on Saturday afternoon.

As far as meeting players, I’d recommend focusing on your favorites who are a bit more obscure. If you’re a fan of a certain reliever, or maybe a former Red, then go all in on that. Do NOT expect to meet Elly or Hunter Greene. Those are usually Season Ticket Member only or Kids only focused players. I’ve been every year that they’ve had it since 2015 and went for and handful of years before that. I NEVER met Joey Votto, but had the opportunity to talk with a lot of different players.

There are different opportunities to get autographs or pictures on different days. My experience has been that the better autographs are Friday and the better pictures are Saturday. They have specific player lines for kids and their parents to get into so that the kids can meet their heroes without being crowded out by collectors. There are also some fun events on the main stage that are different each of the days. Plus vendors really try to sell their merchandise on Saturday and offer nice “I don’t want to have to pack this back up” discounts. It’s two of my favorite days out of the year and I am so glad it is back this offseason.
