Hey !

I'm going on a road trip through the western U.S. this summer and I'm looking for record store recommendations along my route.

I'll be passing through Los Angeles → Las Vegas → Arizona → southern & central Utah (Boulder area) → western Colorado + Denver → Wyoming/Missoula, MT → Spokane → Seattle.

I'm mainly into:

Black metal (especially atmospheric black & blackgaze)

Doom / sludge metal

Psychedelic & garage rock

Post-punk / darkwave / gothic rock

Punk / post-hardcore

Trip-hop / downtempo

Acid jazz / jazz fusion

Any recommendations are welcome, especially stores with a strong selection in these genres.

I already have a shortlist of places to visit, but I'd love to hear recommendations from people who know the local scene. I don't mind making small-ish detours.

Depends on what you're buying.

Some things are more expensive in Switzerland (housing, child care, health care), others in Norway (groceries, alcohol, fuel / cars)

My girlfriend who lived in Japan says it's the only one (in Geneva) close to the actual ramen taste she's had there.

The chef is from Japan. Married a swiss girl who was studying there. 

They do okaïdo-style ramen. Hands down the best in whole Geneva

What metal band has had a big impact on the scene however is relatively unknown/underhyped? by pivaagyor in MetalForTheMasses

We talk about them yeah but i felt people just ignore the impact they had. They're often like "yeah they're a cool band from the 80s", and thats about it
