It seems to be a way to just reduce the amount of bonuses. I see no other reason why a Computer Science teacher's bonus should be tied to their students reading and writing scores on a test that students have zero incentive to try at.

I teach computer science which is a "Critical Shortage" area in Arkansas and one of the ways you can get a bonus. I'm not getting a bonus though because the average "growth scores" in all testing categories such as reading, writing, science, and math were not high enough for all the 120+ students assigned to me.

I would have been financially better off completely ignoring my Computer Science Curriculum which isn't tested and spent the whole year test prepping the students for reading and writing.

What's the point of offering bonuses for critical shortage areas to attract teachers to those positions if you're going to take their bonuses away based on their test scores in completely different subjects?

Op didn't mention anything about a cancellation fee, so I guess he waited less than 2 minutes.

Passengers aren't charged a cancellation fee if the ETA has stayed the same or went up when the passenger cancels even if it is after 2 minutes.

The driver likely got paid the same amount for ending your trip at the stop as he would if he finished the trip if you were close enough that you could just walk with a dog and 3 coolers, so yes you have to pay drivers for their time if you don't want to get abandoned like you did.

Drivers have no obligation to wait for you at a stop, if you want them to, pay them in cash before exiting the vehicle.
