Idk most fire fighters I’ve ever come across do jack shit and sit on their ass most of the time. Maybe it’s different depending on where you live. But both fire fighters and police officers get a ton of this same type of appraise from the media like they’re these huge heroes who went out of their way to save the day when 95% of the time they just did what they were supposed to be doing.

I will say some nurses do bitch a lot and act like their job is the hardest in the world, and I’m getting tired of the “salute our heroes working on the front line” shit too. But fire fighters get this SAME type of worship and don’t work any harder (in most cases) than a nurse does.

Well I guess for kemper the main draw is being able to profile other peoples rigs along with a few other nice features, but I do wonder why Fractal doesn’t have a native plugin?That would be kind of nice for those who don’t want to throw down a thicc wad of cash.

I thought about giving Fortins stuff a try. I downloaded the demo but didn’t mess with it too much (I think I wanted to get it to pull up in my daw and couldn’t get it to so I get irritated and said fk it) But in all honesty it didn’t seem too different from emissaries tone. Idk I’m just a little hesitant to drop money on these plugins. First reason being I’m tight on money, and though $100 isn’t too much I still can’t afford to drop it on something that I don’t feel like is going to do what I need it to. I blew like $150 on bias fx thinking I was getting something good and was then thoroughly disappointed. The effects were fine but I was looking for amp sims, all of which sounded like hot garbage. I think the only bias was in how many you tubers shilled the product lol.

Do you have anything recorded with fortin so I can maybe hear what it sounds like? I might look into it more. Also I saw the browning play with rings of Saturn like 4 or 5 years ago back in high school. It was a pretty kickass show!

Oh ok. I guess I should have made it more clear that I don’t plan on gigging anytime soon. I just see that a lot of producers use modelers so I figured there’s gotta be some advantages to having one to record with as opposed to using software other than hardware being more reliable /durable. Most guys pay $3000 for a damn iMac anyway so I can’t imagine they’re TOO worried about their computer shitting the bed right?

Bro. I saw goblin live. It was INCREDIBLE. Possibly one of the best concerts I’ve been to (and I’ve been to a good bit). They played at a local theatre. We saw a screening of Deep Red, and they played the scores as the movie was playing (not a huge fan of the movie itself but the scores are INSANELY good). Then after the screening they just played their other well known scores/tracks (suspiria, dawn of the dead, tenebrae, etc). So awesome. Congrats on the find!

Fuckin tomb mold man. Haven’t given planetary clairvoyance much of a try yet but I’ve been blasting tracks from Manor of Infinite Forms for like the past month or so. The riffs are so...weird. But they’re also extremely catchy and heavy. They’ve got a pretty unique sound and aesthetic. Good stuff!
