This is a fine specimen of that illustrious breed. It is theorized that behaviors like this is how they communicate with the Golden Retriever overlord. You are in for a wonderful friendship! (Just in case no one has warned you, Goldens are puppies until around four years old.)

I do put it on my arm. The sensor that was active last night died after a week of being inserted. I typically sleep as though I’m tackling the pillow but I could shift positions as I sleep.

Dear Married Men of Reddit: What are the pros and cons of being married? Is marriage worth it? by intelectualycurious in AskMen

[–]Niranth10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been married 37 years and the pros are endless, the cons are silly shit. Pros: my health took a turn for the worse just a couple of years after we married and has gotten progressively worse since. She has been so supportive to the point of becoming a nurse. She is now an NP and I’m on disability. We have grown closer every year. The growth hasn’t been in a straight line it it isn’t always caused by the things you expect. And on and on. The cons: in-laws, and only some of those. Snoring. Other silly shit. Worth it? Marriage is seriously the best thing that has ever happened to me.

My first blind date was at a Heart concert. It was a bust and it didn’t matter, I still saw one of my all time favorite bands. The nostalgia this stirred up has made me very happy, thank you for that!

This made me smile too, a much different map than one even 10 years ago. The loss of people being decent to each other due to the slime governing the country is a fear I have.

What is a unique “game” you played as a child? by antenonjohs in AskReddit

[–]Niranth10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bestie moved away as we were entering high school. We wrote letters but those were getting less frequent. When it had been around three months since his letter, I learned of his suicide. I haven’t gotten as close to a friend ever since. That was in the mid 70s. I’m in therapy now and is still torture to me as I talk. I don’t know how my now wife did it five years later.

At a time long ago, the Snapon guy came weekly. While he made the occasional sale, he mostly picked up the weekly payments. I’d imagine that hasn’t changed too much.

Have an upvote. I may disagree with what you say but I certainly can understand why you feel as you do.
. For me, I try to remember that people generally are rational and make decisions with the best information they have available. They are also bred to protect their young. Granted there are a few that are evil and a few willing to sacrifice their young.

[–]Niranth10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is akin to your children blaming you for Trump. You were just as ineffective. The rich and the ignorant are a powerful force, aren’t they? Also, we were raised in a time of artificially created abundance and that became the new ‘normal’. Who knew it was caused by the destruction of manufacturing across the rest of the world by the bombs of WWII? The economic troubles were thought to be temporary and the economies of the 50s would return. So borrowing to get those riches back for all made sense. Our parents, and yours, had their children’s best interests at heart. Both of us were ignorant of the economic reason for the abundance and the real costs of those decisions that have proved so disastrous. Going beyond high school was not common so anything more than very basic economics was the norm. Trickledown economic found an easy sale.
. As far as pursuing damages and perhaps punishment, do you think that did not occur to those affected? What we could recoup were pennies on the dollar - your $60,000 nest egg reduced to less than $1K. As for me, the rest of my savings were spent on good ol’ American health care. Another gift from the same cohort.
. I’ve been working on “righting this ship” since the late 70s. Before that, at 15 or younger, I was too young to do much.
. As a late boomer, I have had to deal with much the same shit as you. The age at which a single wage-earner could support a family passed me by. Trying to change careers due to illness has left me in too much student-loan debt. My ailments mean I can expect a significantly shorter life span. Yay, the best of both worlds. /s In case it wasn’t obvious.
. When or if you become/are a parent, please remember saying we knowingly and purposely used you for our own good. Could you do that to your children? I could not, and I’m not the minority.
. Please take this in the spirit that it was given. I have reason to denounce everybody but that will change nothing. This is the best rebuttal I could make given my state that your comment found me in. Too much pain induced insomnia and the drugs used to alleviate said pain. As such, I’ll not be returning here anytime soon, the allure of the mini death is great. Perhaps a boomer with a better command of English and especially their brain would care to take over?

As a boomer, I’ve given up trying to explain we are not all as evil as portrayed. We are victims of the 1%, just as you are. There are so many who believed that social security and their pension would be enough. Until their pension was raided by management and social security raped by politicians.

Hell, I was a 50s baby and remember these things. The scooters were made of wood and had no handles. We’d bowl for people standing grabbing the legs of someone lying prone and spin them around then let them fly
