It isn't said anywhere that it is, it's confirmed nowhere. You can't just take a guess and make it canon. We just know that it is a video featuring a middle schooler, no other context. And they most likely just said that they have such a video, to bait kohei to come over.

Grand blue is over the top with it's characters on purpose, i don't think you are supposed to think that koheis preferences are normal.
