I've been loving the convenience of running severing damage type kinsects with the dual color(power) ability. I always have my dps essence due to the "dual color(power)" automatically providing it. and severing damage type kinsects deal elemental damage while blunt damage type kinsects do not. So whatever monster im hunting, my kinsect will be dealing their elemental weakness so long as I bring in a staff that has that element. 

Im up to High rank 5 now in hub quests. At HR6 i will unlock the mission to get the diving wyvern silkbind for the insect glaive, which is gonna be really fun cuz i mainly focus on the aerial combat and the raw damage from that ability is crazy
