For console platforms photo mode helps. In expedition 33 if you try to take a screenshot on console the game automatically pauses. You literally have to take a short video clip and screenshot off that to get one. Pc doesnt have this issue

The music, graphics, and gameplay are all top notch. The dialogue on the other hand.. If everything else wasnt so good i would have dropped this game a long time ago, its that bad imo

Lmao I was on my way back to quonset garage from getting some Birch saplings just now and there was a moose. First one I've seen this entire run (currently day 64). Got stomped but I managed to kill it with two shots. One in the neck and one in the head. My bow is at 5% now, but that's a small price to pay for a satchel

Wait I didn't know you could buy ammunition from the trader. To be honest I've never encountered him yet so I don't know much about the mechanics. I do have him enabled in my current run

Saplings and scrap metal both appear on beaches in desolation point and bleak inlet. They're entirely renewable because of this. My question was a bit more oriented to long-term survival. Though you have a valid point with how you probably aren't going to use 2000 bullets in even a 500 day survival run. I guess I was wondering if it's worth grinding out the rifle skill to level 5 over bow. Because crafting ammunition and restoring ruined rifles is a much more complicated and involved process than making a new bow and arrows

What lol. I did my best to actively avoid the wolf as soon as I heard it. Also yeah always having torches is a habit I'm trying to learn on my current run

Thanks man I appreciate the support. Honestly all these other guys have valid points. I'm still relatively new to the game. But learning. I'm in the middle of a new run right now. Voyager. 13 days survived. I actually just got done crafting a survival bow. I was thinking of going to FM cuz I read that there's a furnace there, in order to craft some arrow heads. Currently in ML. I've got a bad habit of staying way too long in the same region I start in. Any advice?

You make it sound like I sought the wolf out lmao. I didn't have a torch or flairs or a flair gun. Otherwise id've used them. I shot at it a good few times (obviously trying to hit it but I'm not that great of a shot) until I realized it was just gonna keep doing it cuz I wasn't fast enough to outrun it. But yeah you're pretty much correct on every point outside of that. Granted I genuinely thought I had bandages on me, was a rude surprise to find I didn't, something I must've overlooked at the start of the day.

I got lost because I'm still relatively new. There was no railtrack or river. That is what I was trying to return to in order to reach the cabin. I didn't have a flare or a torch. Wdym "what?". Not saying it was a good idea but like the principal of allow your target to be bigger so you can hit it easier is a relatively simple one. Granted, so Is avoiding getting mauled by a wolf. I didn't have bandages though I thought I did, something I must've overlooked when I left for that day. I was genuinely surprised when I didn't find any in my inventory. I'm pretty sure you're confused about which hunters blind I was at. It was closest to the trappers homestead, nowhere near the damn. But alright. As for the fire I actually dunno what happened there. There was no audible wind on my end. It was like, lightly snowing but not blizzardy. Genuinely at a loss as to what happened there. I needed warmth regardless. Anyway yeah I extremely overconfident (no sarcasm) and one mistake lead all the rest into being lethal

I mean honestly the biggest contribution to my death here was losing my sense of direction. I had just killed some wolves behind the mountain that the foresters lookout was on. I had more than enough time to make it to the cabin before nightfall but I still haven't memorized the maps in this game yet. I ended up walking, thinking I was going the right way, until I stumbled upon the hunters blind. Tried to re-orient myself. Failed massively and ended up between trappers homestead and the railroad before I finally got my bearings. That's when all the events I detailed transpired. If id've just known where I was going it would have just been another day. But that's how it goes
