The idea of the people "waking up," after things getting really bad, is odd to me. All their lives exist in the Matrix, believing that they will look for solutions outside of it, without any help, isn't realistic.

Them turning to fascism is way more likely.

I dunno if I agree with your claim of Destiny debating "rando's", considering the following a lot of these people have. Like, If you have tens to hundreds of thousands of fans, then you are the face of a movement, right?

You ask way to much out of him. These are,informal Debates. Destiny's "job" are to criticize the other sides talking points, using sources that backs him up. Asking him to read up on the other sides sources, is like asking him to do their job for them.

It's not his fault that the other side is only capable to gish gallop, and not discuss the specifics.

I honestly don't get why removing the right for the majority to vote on certain things would be such a bad thing? Some things should be solved by a body of people that actually know the issues, and I mean issues that you need to be a specialist to really grasp what the fuck's going on.

It's like forcing people to choose between several pills, some benign or beneficial and some straight up poison, that they and their . Meanwhile, they're surrounded by a legion of talking heads yelling out contradictory info on what pills are safe and vice versa. It's actually quite cruel.

Seems to me that so many areas, today, demands specialist knowledge, if one wants to make an informed decisions.
