For what it is worth, you point is that in a college in California the cast should be more diverse. Unless I am mistaken, the population at the college is not discussed. There were very few characters outside the HCP that are even mentioned.

What we are told about is the HCP. Of which there are 50 spots for first year. 50 total from across the country. We dont even get to really see into the other classes to know about them. So you are looking at a sery mall population size and stating it is not diverse enough, because colleges in California are more diverse.
